Getting to WS from Sutus Court (Soi Buakhao)
tallguy replied to maj_a_hole's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I always used the baht bus along second road and the walk up Soi Dianna when I stayed in that area. Used to see a few baht buses queued up by the temple heading east towards Buakhao but couldn't be bothered trying to find out what their exact route was late at night. The walk from second road to Buakhao never bothered me. -

South along Buakhao, turn right on to Pattaya Tai, get off by the school and walk. -
Construction on the place north of Soi 6 has finished but there wasn't much sign of activity when I passed it last week. I think Idefix might have included a picture from there in his latest update in 'Agogos news'.

LK Metro lodging noise question
tallguy replied to midlifecrisis's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
You may get some noise from the Dianna beer bars if you stay at the Areca.Maybe consider places on the other side of Buakhao if you want something a bit quieter. -
I went into Fairy Club last night it's a short time bar not a GGB.

There is a company that has recently started operating from an office in the lobby called VIP Centre Properties which advertises condos for rent. Their e-mail address is vipcenterproperties2016@gmail.com. I haven't heard anything about how good they are but given their location I would expect them to have rooms available. There is a noticeboard in reception where owners can advertise condos for sale or rent. One website that is featured on there is www.thecliffpattayacondoforrent.com. I don,t know many apartments this guy has but it might be worth a look. I rent my condo through Alan B

The picture I have seen online are accurate. People started moving into the building about a year ago. The public areas are well cared for and the occupancy rate still seems fairly low judging by the number of people I see around and the relatively low number of units that appear to have lights on at night. There is some construction taking place at the rear of the condo at the moment. They are building a 20 storey condo,The Cloud, but they have nearly finished the main structure, they are currently working on the 20th floor and will only have the roof to add. I haven't really been affecte

I live in the Cliff and am willing to answer a few specific questions but assume that you know the basic information about the building and the area.

Do you mean The Cliff Condominium or The Royal Cliff Hotel and Resort. Both are on Pratumnak but pricing will be a lot different.

I don't think Frasers claim to include Wagyu in the beef wellington. The wagyu Gabor referred to is the one he ordered the first time (top picture) which he ruined by having it incinerated.☺BTW I have had the wagyu at Frasers a couple of times and it didn't look anything like Gabor's picture. It looked like a small tenderloin but was good value for the special price of 350 baht.

The food is fantastic Andy. You don't know what you're missing.

Spoken partly in jest, but as you note the location means that that is a possible explanation.Look out for one appearing near Hard Rock Hotel where the tour parties cross over to the speedboats.?

To accomodate Chinese coach parties??

I think most of the visa agencies around town offer the service you are after. Before I applied for my first retirement extension in the second half of 2014 I canvassed a few places to see what they would charge, I had the 800k, but wondered what it would cost to avoid dealing with immigration. The first question the agencies asked was whether I had the 800k, adding that it was not a problem if I didn't. There was a big difference in the prices quoted even without borrowing the money, ranging from about 9k to 20k, so the best thing you can do if this is urgent is to start contacting a few agen

The burger might not be particularly large and probably needs a side of fries to fill out the plate. However, I think the portion sizes at Bite Me are fine, you can enjoy 2-3 courses of good food and will feel full but not overstuffed. The cordon bleu Gabor posted from Jomtien Plaza wasn't exactly huge was it?

No idea about LK Mansions. Good luck☺

The junior suite is probably the junior wing which is an annexe above the 7-11 on Soi Dianna, the rooms are OK, similar to a good guest house but they are definitely not suites.Pool access shouldn't be a problem unless someone in the party has mobility problems.

Hooters on Beach Road- The Food (updated Dec. 20, 2016)
tallguy replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
My understanding is the price you see on the menu is inclusive of service and VAT and they just separate it out on the final bill. Most places in Patts still don't add service to the bill, it tends to be something you see in high end places such as the big hotels. -
On the menu it says corner of Third Road and Soi Lengkee.

Went to Soi 5 today about 1 pm, in and out within 5-10 mins. Spent a lot longer messing around with the online system and when that failed printing out a TM47. TiT
