Is there a good coffee shop in Pattaya?

Hi guys this is my first thread and will be my 3rd trip to LOS I have yet to find a coffee shop that makes a good flat white, the cappuccinos’ are mostly foam not just a bit on top about half a cup. Anyone know of a good coffee shop in Pattaya? And BKK around Nana Plaza?

Three trips under your belt and worried about coffee.... :D

I thought you Australian guys liked beer.

We got Bon Cafe and Starbucks and a few others, but too many guys here have the shakes already!

best one is the starfucks acros from landmark hotel in BKK

you'll find nothing to the caliber of a good Amsterdam coffee house

2) Gafe Gafe - South Pattaya Road, near Tukom

2) Coffee World - Beach Road near Soi Six and also at Avenue Centre 2nd Road

I second all the abowe in that order as well as the italian Restaurant & bar 50 meters on the same side of walking street after FLB.

 

There are also one great Italian Restaurant & bar on Sukhumvit with great coffe. You cross Sukhumvit from Nana, turn left going down on the uneven side and it is in the second or third block.

I have to have my morning coffee and since I'll be staying in the area.

I went to the place in front of Avenue Mall every morning but the coffee was crap.

I like Starbucks coffee. Overpriced but good. I always ask them how long the coffee has been sitting. If it's over 30 minutes, I ask if they will brew a fresh pot. So far no knockbacks. :rolleyes:

Gets a bad name for customer service. The owners wife has an attitude, and a waitress "called in the heavies" when she argued with a customer. I asked if they could do a cappucino without much foam. They said yes, but gave me a cup of foam :rolleyes:

 

Robins , Pattaya Beer Garden , Starbucks , places in Carrefour. Many good coffees in Pattaya.

If you walk from behind Avenue the opposite direction to 2nd rd, you will reach Soi Bukhaow in 2 minutes. Then you can either walk north for about 10 minutes or take a baht bus until you see Cafe Pittini on your left hand side.

 

Dont worry about past negative reports. The owner has fired the waitress and also removed his wife from there!

In BKK there is a café on soi 19 past Robinsons but before the Honey Hotel that do good coffee, or if your nearer the Nanna area the restaurant at the Dynasty Grand on soi 6 (café Bloom?)serves an excellent brew. As for Starbucks its not even worth pouring into a cup may as well just tip it straight down the toilet.

Agreed. I've tried that Starbucks on Sukhumvit, across from the Landmark three or four times and I still think, to this moment, they were serving instant coffee (nescafe to the cousins). Horrible stuff.

The number of restaurants in Thailand that serve you instant coffee and charge for a "real" cup of coffee is deplorable. Even the Pig & Whistle in Pattaya serves that instant garbage. Sheesh!!

There should be a law against serving that crap. :D

To find Cafe Pitini (a great cofee) If you are coming from pattaya central road its only about 200 yards. Head south and go around the S bend in the road. there is a small market on the right side, followed by a Kasikornbank (green and white signs). its on the right hand side about 50 yards further up, it has white plaster balustrading around it.

The incident with the waitress and the owners wife is already a few month old and has thus been resolved at the time and not now!

 

Wasnt resolved at the time. It was denied at the time as far as I remember. But , fair play, if the offending staff are gone, customers need not worry about their safety.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Black Canyon. Similar to Starbucks and Coffee Bean but the winner here is the traditional kopi
