I shouldn't say this because it's getting hard to find a place to sit. I think I've posted it to many times. Cherry's restaurant on third road across from Exzyte, is one of the best restaurants in town. It rivals the best, but at a fraction of the cost. Wednsdays they have a buffet for 300 baht that has got to be the best in town, hands down. All of their food is very good.

Tigglebitties on Soi 17 has the best American food.

Pattaya Beer Garden has decent food and seats overlooking the water, nice place to take the lady.

Moon River Pub on North road has good food, and a great atmosphere. Great place to take the lady.

Boat Bakery on second road has the cheapest food around.

I am a big fan of the club sandwich. Have devoured one in many different localities.

I find the Club Sandwich offered by the Pattaya Beer Garden second to none I have ever had. Very well-assembled sandwich with generous portions of cloeslaw & quite fresh FF (Chips to you Brits).

At B100, the Club Sandwich there is a steal. I find other menu items at PBG overpriced,

On beach road Jomtien, about 100 metres from soi welcome towards Pattaya there is a place that does chicken and duck. They often sell out. I think it is 120 baht for a whole ckicken, 65 baht for 1/2. They were sold out of chicken 1 day so I got the duck, pepper or something and it was awsom. A bit more expensive for the duck. Not sure if it is open at night.

Anyway if you are in the area it is worth a try.

A good place to eat in terms of quality &prices is the Sailor Bar on Soi 8. The steaks they offer are small but quite tasty. The steak plate includes potato of choice, coleslaw, & steamed veggies. Although I have partaken of it several times, I cannot recall the exact price. I do remember always finding it extremely reasonable. Other menu items are equally reasonable.

However, there is always a kicker. The intolerably shitty attitudes of the serving Toms in the bar area precludes my further patronixing the joint.

The Toms, it is funny some I always do a double take at hard to know if they are guys or girls, a place I like to eat is Lengkees on Klang at the junction of Bukao, the duck is terrific.

So you got a bigger bill than expected with the duck?

I'll get my coat! :chogdee

i stayed at the chaba hut on soi buakau and tried some of the places mentioned here, the butchers arms had good food but was more expensive than the thai places but good for falang food.the hole in the wall or tin cups was a bit disappointing,id heard a lot about this place and tried it a couple of times and had different meals each time, i found the food quite bland i like thai food to be spicey and i think they have toned it down too much.kiss is ok on soi diana and the little wonder in the arcade near papagayo is also good.

Agree with the tasty food at sailor bar.. But the service takes long not good for a punter on the prowl. Oh my I wish soi8 wil turn back to the good old sextourist days.

The food court in the basement of Central Festival Mall is great for Thai food (and, possibly, other varieties but I haven't tried them).

For Thai food a bit different, try Yum & Tum on the 5th Floor of the same Mall.

I find it unbelievable that some of the restaraunts mentioned areclassed as wheres the best place to eat. Most on here mention a typical farang place and thai food, why not go to a proper thai restaraunt?????.I also see most of u only eat farang food, why????????????

A farang restaraunt that sells thai food have always got a small menu to choose from, and i hope to god u arent classing thai food as fried rice with chicken,or a farang style green/yellow curry, its almost laughable
