Brady and Belichick have the Patriots running like a well-oiled machine. Atlanta has been dominant all year. No one wants to face Michael Vick. Manning has the Colts on a late season roll. "Da Bears" are back in the play-offs. Are the defending champion Saints getting the respect they deserve? Are the 7-9 Seahawks the worst division winner ever?

All discussion of the NFL welcome (even Brett Favre crap :clueless )

My head says Brady, my adrenaline says Atlanta and my heart says Philly. If Vick won it, it would be he biggest comeback in football history - which is not a bad thing at all to see in your lifetime. My darkhorse is Baltimore, I guess - but they are very banged up.

I'm a huge Chiefs fan, but I have a bad feeling about their game vs the Ravens. :wtf The Chiefs have only lost one game at home this season, but they haven't played the toughest schedule. They have a chance if they can stop Ray Rice and also put some pressure on Flacco. Since I don't have any money on the game, I'll go with my heart and pick the Chiefs.

I like the Saints, Eagles, and Colts in the other first round games.

Hold on here! I thought sunlight to Earth was all directed through Philip Rivers??? And he's going to fall in his very first game? What's up with that?

A lot of underestimating of Atlanta in this thread, methinks.

You have more faith in Jake Cutler than most Bear fans have! It will be Atlanta or GB in the Super Bowl.

I defer to the expert!

I grew up being told over and over that English people were polite. I even used to believe it.

ITEM As a Broncos watcher, I am confident that Cutler will throw the interception exactly when the other team requires it. He always has.

Rivers plays for the Chargers, and the Chargers are not in the play-offs, so I'm not sure what you're talking about Joe. Rivers still had a good year, but I admit Brady had a better year.

Speaking of teams not in the play-offs, how about them Raiders? They went 6-0 in the AFC West and still didn't make the play-offs. I think that's the first time since the leagues merged that that has happened.

Not da Bears. They didn't beat any good teams.

Falcons a bit under the radar as they play in a low-visibility division but they don't have the experience.

I like the Iggles but they will fuck it up.

Never mind Philip Rivers. He's on the golf course.

Ravens will give anybody a tussle but have blown a lot of 4th quarters this year and they aren't spozed to do that.

Steelers always tough. They need Polamalu to be fit.

Colts? Nope. Manning is missing weapons, defense is suspect and no run.

Packers? Nope, some good things but some weaknesses.

Jets? Fuhgeddaboudit.

Saints? Hmmm....

Chiefs and Seahawks? Please, this is a serious thread.

Looks like B&B to me, Belichick and Brady.

I voted for the Eagles. IF Vick can scramble. He's very dangerous. :chogdee

And people wonder why I don't gamble? It's tough to pick 4 losers. :whistling:

I'm not a Patriots fan but I think they will take it all. The Ravens are out and the Falcons are down 21 points in the fourth quarter. The Packers may have a chance but it looks like they may have used up most of their luck against the Falcons. The Steelers are also in the picture.

Boy, did I get beaten and humiliated this morning! I did say that Baltimore was beat up and a dark horse, so I saved a tiny bit of face, but I had the Falcons really deserving their No 1 seed, and Aaron Rogers did to them that he could do to me and my neighbourhood friends. THAT was a whipping, Green Bay style. I was very impressed. I don't agree, Gary, I didn't see a lot of luck in play there. Luck is what Pittsburgh had, and what Baltimore couldn't take advantage of. GB was just go-o-o-d.

All I've got left is the same team everybody else has, how humiliating.

I did actually get a bet on Seattle over New Orleans, so I'm a hair ahead of VicV.

Ok lets have a crack at this game where you have enough time to take the kids to school while they decide if the ball touched the ground or not.

Jets V Patriots thats a easy one PATRIOTS

Seattle V Chicago is even easier BEARS

Superbowl winner PATRIOTS thats if they ever get through the National anthem without some maniac pulling a gun :whistling:

To quote the Little Rascals, "And how!" :whistling:

Aaron Rodgers had an incredible game. Even the "Ole-Gunslinging-Penis-Texter" never had a play-off game like that. I saw the phrase used on ESPN's site today, and it should be the headline on the front page of the Green Bay newspaper tomorrow:

"BRETT WHO?"

It's a good thing I didn't bet on the Patriots and Jets game. I would have lost the farm.

It really has been that kind of year, all year. There was actually parity of a weak sort, any team COULD beat any other team. I was unsurprised by the Jets beating the Pats AGAIN, but I wouldn't have bet very much if I had the chance, which I didn't.

The Jets have enough to go to Dallas. Heck, any of the four do. I know they're underdogs, but the Jets already beat Pittsburgh this year, and Chicago already beat the Packs. I think anyone seriously bets these games is crazy.
