Pic from yesterday's hash run. The area is west of Rugby School Thailand. Large swaths of brush have been intentionally burned off throughout the area. No idea why the Thai do this as the areas they burned were not cropland. The area to the right in the pic below is one such area that had been set alight.

This morning I did not think visibility looked too bad and set out to take some views over the bay from Pattaya Bay View Point.  Upon arrival reality set in.

Whilst I appreciate that visibility and air quality are not the same, this is as bad as I have seen it for some time.  Both were taken from the beach almost in front of Central Festival.

I have been curious about this also. Even up here the are small burns nothing to do with farming or lot clearing.

Visibility is better this morning. The strange thing is that this morning, I found my camera lens steamed up; this does not normally happen in Pattaya.
