  1. On a whim I gave this place a try last night... braised steak, chips and cold peas. Not very many customers but steady, I think it is just 'ticking over' Service is reasonable although one would have to stretch one's imagination to believe the attempt at gender. Peas were served cold and rather too much of the liquid had been slopped in. In the past I disliked having the dogs wandering around, yesterday they were not apparent, perhaps they were avoiding the unpleasant odour in the AC area. It remains super cheap, you can get filled up for under 300 baht. One of the few places that doesn't charge over the odds for a drink.... my soda water I think was 25 baht, most pub-grubs will hit you for 50 baht. I don't think I will be back but I bet the place survives.
  2. No need, it gets covered with flies. I have an idea it won't go to waste.
  3. Perhaps the rental guys are tired of people 'reporting' that the engine keeps cutting out at the lights! My pal in the USA phoned the rescue services when his rental wouldn't start...... only to be told you have to put it in Park, AND depress the brake to start it... he went into a rant about that being unnecessary to cover his embarrassment. We have a couple of bike renters on the board who could have an input.
  4. Vincent Price
  5. Gladiator..... Have you noticed the nastiest of tyrants are invariably thin?
  6. I am using 'True' now, at 30/3 Mb. The one concern is that it doesn't work for the Android TV boxes that Lanzalad posts of. It is about 840 baht / month including basic TV package.
  7. Because they are expensive and the idle stop feature fucks them up?
  8. Smokey and the Bandit. I'm gonna take his hair and throw it out in the dirt.
  9. An extended rainy spell.....

  10. Mike Starr. (up since 2am)
  11. I think a pepper sauce helps most steaks except a rib-eye or prime rib. A sauce helps swallow too as often it can be dry. Served on the side should please all.
  12. Kevin Costner. (this was on Sophon recently....sure was available on DVD quick)
  13. Well there is of course a much more obvious one........ The Beverly Hillbillies.
  14. You didn't fall and bang your head again did you Gonzo?
  15. Yes of course, 'Third World ' suggests backwards and toxic tapwater. I wonder what they used to call the New World before? (Edit for idxxot.......before it was called that and after it was discovered... )
  16. Isn't it more of a timeline rating? Like old world, (Europe), New World (Americas+Oz) then the rest being third world. Anyhow, the 10th largest economy (for example) still has dire dire poverty within.
  17. That would be after you take the Tag off the key, or find suitably stiff name cards to jam in the slot to keep the electric on while you are out I expect.
  18. Shirley Temple (24hr)
  19. Mike Myers - 'The Spy Who Shagged Me' maybe, can't remember which film! Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the movie is made.
  20. The Karate Kid. You can start by wiping that fucking dumb-ass smile off your rosy, fucking, cheeks!
  21. Yes, quite right, my error.
  22. Life of Brian ? Because a man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man.
  23. Burt Lancaster
  24. A couple of thunderstorms and flash floods in Pattaya.
