Bank transfer vs Travellers cheques
JONPAT replied to Chris100UK's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I do the same, except I am going to try Moneygram before I leave the USA for my next trip. I want to send a few hundred dollars using Moneygram because if it works for ten or fifteen dollars via online using a credit card, then I'd be able to send myself money while in Thailand using the same method, a just in case scenario. By the way, do you send money straight from USA bank to the Kasikorn? Bank of America is wanting $50 bucks to send a few thousand to Kasikorn via SWIFT. -
How has this worked out for you? I'm coming for six months and was wondering where I'd find a good hypertension doctor in Pattaya. Any advice?

Newbie's should at least read the newbie section, maybe even at least make one post to say 'Hello'

If I had some alterations to be made I'd go to the woman on Pattaya Sai, a bit east of where TukCom is, only on the opposite side of the street. She is out there everyday using a push peddle sewing machine, just got to respect a woman on the sidewalk with a manual sewing machine, they also fix shoes there. I'm sure the price is reasonable, the shoe fix (new souls) was 250 baht.

The white walls make it appear larger than it is.

I haven't been able to find the five hundred dollar travellers checks for three years now. I tried AAA and 3 different Credit Unions.

Isn't it a new site set up by the father of one of those girls poisoned several months ago up in Chiang Mai? I've read about the site on Thaivisa or Teakdoor; somewhere. I don't know that some foriegners do commit suicide in Thailand but I am just as sure some of them are murders being swept under the rug by the Thai authorities.

v_mterrace@hotmail.com I stayed in regular room, 750 bt a night for ten nights. Could have rented same room for a month for 10,000 baht plus water and 7 bt per unit of electricity. Pool is not for excercising in, clean but is to lounge around in not for laps. Nice flat screen TV, maybe 42 inches with plenty of stations. Nice fridge, wasn't really impressed with the wardrobe arrangements. Baht bus easy to catch usually, easy quick walk from front door thru Pattaya New Plaza to soi 7/8 or the new mall. Family mart right across street. No in room safe but a lock box behind reception sort of; I had no problem using the lock box. Nice enough staff. I was on second floor which wasn't bad, up one flight. Wouldn't want to walk up any more steps because I'm old and out of shape. I plan to stay there the month of October. Nice laundry if you walk out front door, down the street next to Family Mart maybe 100 feet. They did have a much nicer larger apartment but I think it was 18,000 baht. Just not that much better for the money, 18,000 gets close to renting a condo.

I have to support the Local team. Go Dawgs, Butler is the Cinderella team that will do it this year. Even if they don't, it has been great for the school. That coach is gonna make it to the NBA, he has got to have something special going on to get average at best players to be where they have gotten.

What scale you using? Florida State puts out a class A dentist for the most part. Thai's so far (only two) have been b- I did a sleep bite plate at the 3rd rd about four minutes walk north of South street on the east side of the street. Had the teeth cleaned in Jomtien on the left side about two hundred feet before the beach road. Had the teeth cleaned at a place in the big new mall just south of 9th street. I'd go back to all but the new mall, He wanted to up sell you, did the job but who needs a sales pitch at that point in your holiday?

Last trip I got a nice Samsung for 670 baht at Carrefour, 200 baht 1-2-3 GO sim and I was good to go. Less than a thousand baht and you can discard it at the end of your trip.

Positive spin would be he is busy 'remodeling' the condo, turning a big profit.

Yep, the only news channel that offers an alternative to the left wing liberals in charge of all other propaganda outlets

My pet peeve with Thai girls
JONPAT replied to lovedog100's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
OP, thanks for the post. Seems you have found a solution that works for you. It is rude but they can get away with it because farangs are for the most part, just too fucking weak. You stood up for the rights you and your money have, good for you. More two week visitors should be a bit nore assertive. What have you got to lose, some pussy? For goodness sake, there is plenty of pussy at the end of the day, you don't have to put up with rudeness, The Thai's sure as heck wouldn't. -
Must be a pretty good friend, you're willing to let him go on his motobike all alone to change money for you.

Last November (2110) I purchased an adequate Nokia for 695 baht at Carrefour on Central Road. I went to a shop on South Rd (about 100 feet from Farang type grocery store). I could have go sim from anywhere but she was a nice lady that was willing to assist me with the phone. I'll go back there with the same phone next trip. I had a phone that could text english for less than 1000 baht all in. That is cheap enough to throw away when you leave town, I had room in luggage so broght it with me. Go to Carrefour and get a cheapie phone.

Doesn't take much proof for most of you guys to convict this girl. I'd bet it could have been an inside job just a easily as a bar girl having the nuts to bust a safe while the guy is in the shower. Sure she is a bad girl, they all are, that is why we go to Pattaya. I'd imagine the OP has told plenty of people in the hotel how much is in the safe. What does all smashed up inside mean? I can't understand that. If her finureprints match up to what the police have then they'll get their cut and the OP is still out his money.

Then you are saying LBs are okay to bring to your room at the DD ? Is this true ?

Kev0184 leaving party Dec 7
JONPAT replied to THE DRUNKEN DUCK's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Thanks for the pix, they look professional, very clear all of them. It is a much better looking bar in these pix than you'd think from just walking past on the outside. Kev's an alright guy and I wish him well. Wish I'd been in town that night. -
Not to worry mate. The high season will be over about the tenth of January. You'll have the place practically to yourself after the first week or so of the year. Times have changed.

A.) Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. 2.) Do unto others as they do unto you. C.) What goes around comes around. 4.) Coin of the realm forgives all. Those are THE tenets of the world. Thailand goes by the fourth one, for you that are mathematically inclined.

There you have it. They separate the blood into so many parts that it shouldn't matter if you have any kind of disease. Just swirl the blood and get rid of the parts you think are 'bad'. I take chloresterol medicine (the spell checking medicine does not work), so they don't use my blood. WTF, just use it for those fucks that are also on chloresterol medicine. My knowlege is that blood has several parts, spin off the part that will harm the patient and then sell the left over portion to a pharmecuticle company.

That is sick, it must be very expensive. Also, would that type cheese by named 'Chesty Chedder'? I'd expect somewhere along the line Chineese Chesty would somehow be just as good and cheaper too. Beware the lead content
