I second Evil's vote for Mama's Restaurant at the Beach Rd. end of Soi 6, very good pizzas with thin crust.

I made a post yesterday and after a long wait, 1 character per line was displayed after pressing 'Post'. Did nothing further, but the post has been quoted since and the formatting is in order. This took 2 minutes to finally post.

It's seriously well worth a visit for the food and the very friendly owner, and of course dead convenient for Cherry Bar 20 yards away.

There's a lovely crop of potholes appearing all over the place following the flood, great if you're out and about on a bike. And the Beach Road walkway is a complete disaster area thanks to shoddy workmanship.

Good review Evil, I thoroughly recommend Valley View for its really high standard of food at reasonable prices, the onlydownside being that the distance from Patts makes frequent visits impossible. Those spray cans hardly existed in Patts 2 years ago, you never saw hordes of vendors selling them from large boxes. Another perversion of an established NYE custom whereby on the stroke of midnight, people would fire party-poppers and maybe spray a can of stuff over the fellow-revelers in e.g. FLB, which was quite ok. These antics are quite over the top now.
