I think they got off way to lightly. What's the message here? Cheat and get a slap on the wrist?

As for the coffee maker, try unplugging it for a while. Sometimes, that will "reboot" the internal computer so that you're back to step one. I have to do that sometimes with my K-Cup coffee machine. Once in while it wants to brew a half a cup only, even though it's set for a large cup. -

I'm here in the USA doing some work on a house I want to sell in a few months. Not much fun, but I can finally see the end of it all. And the real estate market seems to be on fire, so the place gets more valuable every day! In any event, once I'm out of here it's back to Thailand or some other tropical beach. I need a rest. -
I suppose Spam is Spam but regular email can be classified as "junk" if you so desire. For example, let's say I routinely get email from a printer company. I'm sick of it, so I classify it as "junk" via my email program. Then, when email from that source arrives again, it'll automatically be routed to the junk folder.

I always thought that just opening an email won't hurt anything, but that you have to be careful not to click on a link or open an attachment (a picture, for example).

Any referrals of good Pattaya Real estate agents.

I still think some of the beachfront condos are a good deal. Low HOA fees and no property taxes. That's hard to beat. Location is key, though. -

I'd also be interested in hearing anyone's experience in a recent condo purchase. And also, which realtors have a stellar reputation and which to avoid. It's not hard to find stories on the internet about Thailand real estate scams, so I'm a little bit worried about choosing the right people to deal with. In a few months or maybe this fall at the latest, I'll be in the market for a condo. However, it seems like there are new condo developments going up all over the Pattaya area. Are they really selling that many condos, or are many units just sitting empty? Some of them look nice eno -
I remember the first time I bought phone time at the 7-11 or Family Mart. I got a receipt with a bunch of numbers on it. It took me a while to figure out what to do, but now I know. Next time I'm back I'm going to figure out how to do it online from my Thai bank account.

Scene's of Bangkok...................... part 1.

I always wondered what the deal was on those stalls. Was someone collecting rent? Or was it just a free for all that the police have now put a stop to? -
I've walked by the place a million times during the day, but it always looked like there wasn't much going on inside. Or maybe it just seemed that way. Anyway, I guess the prices must be fairly high, given its proximity to the Marriott.

Maybe Thailand has cheap repair technicians? Otherwise, there's no way it would normally be worth fixing a TV. Here in the USA they probably charge $125 an hour, plus parts. At that rate, you might as well just go buy a new TV. And let's not forget, on the used TV market, they just about give the things away.

As I recall, you can usually withdraw 20K, but you have to go past the first screen and enter the amount manually. I'm used to using K Bank. Of course, your home bank may place a daily limit on what you can withdraw.

Nice pictures. Makes it seem like you're there. -
No, that wouldn't be tolerable. Aside from the last day of Songkran, the only time I ever got wet during Songkran week was down in Phuket when some little kid with a squirt gun squirted me one morning. Just a few drops of water.

I tried the Queen Vic Sunday carvery once. Pretty good. Still, for 370 baht you had better be fairly hungry. That's a lot of money to pay if you don't eat much. I guess that's true for most such deals. They're a good deal if you eat a lot. Otherwise, maybe not.

Songkran isn't all that bad, is it? For sure, there's usually one day when people seem to go a bit overboard with the water, but other than that one day, the rest of the week seems tolerable. So, unless you absolutely have to go somewhere on the main water fight day, just stay home and read a book. As a side note, I once had to go to immigration on the water fight day, so I hopped on a baht bus early in the morning, hoping to get there and back without being soaked. No such luck. Some idiot girls thought it would be funny to soak every occupant on the baht bus while it was stopped for

United – $927: Newark – Phuket,Roundtrip, including all Taxes

To follow up, I looked up some fares today from Chicago to BKK for April. The cheapest I found was around $950, round trip. I'm not in Chicago, but close enough. -

For sure, one you're in the NYC area, it''s a piece of cake to get from one airport to another. You can take a bus from Manhattan to Newark, or your can take a bus from LaGuardia to Manhattan. And there's probably a bus or subway from NYC to JFK. -

Great price in you live in the NYC area. Otherwise, you;d have to pay extra to get to Newark. Maybe they also have good prices out of Chicago? I think they have a hub there. Unfortunately for me, I can't go anywhere right now, as I'm trying to get a house ready for sale. -
Anyone remember this? This is good, too: And this: Sorry. I guess I don't know how to embed YouTube videos.

Is it just a matter of time before all the people "owning" houses via phony corporations find themselves holding the bag?

Good for them. They hopped on a plane for a nice vacation. The 20 something females from North America? A little unusual, I guess. At least in the Eastern USA, most girls sit around and dream about a trip to Florida. Most of them couldn't find Thailand on a map.

People like that can be hard to help. Even if they end up in a hospital half dead, they sometimes check themselves out against medical advice and head to the nearest bar. Sooner or later, they die of liver failure or other complications.
