Hi Bruce Hope you are enjoying Blighty. I think I finally have this sorted. From now on log ins will default to 'not remember' as will quick log ins. The only way to stay logged in between sessions will be to log in via the log in screen and explicitly select the remember me option. This will not affect machines that already have a cookie to be remembered. I will do a reset on Thursday causing everyone to have to log in again which will catch all the existing cookies. Meanwhile if you want to force the issue, log out on the offending machine and log in again with the default

how do I delete a post
PattayaPete replied to sinbinjack's topic in Technical problems or questions.
There is a delete button at the top of each of your posts. Click on it to delete the post. You can't delete a post however if it is the first post in a thread. Nnly I can do that. -
unable to view all pictures on members bar
PattayaPete replied to maxwell's topic in Technical problems or questions.
It sounds like something is not right with your browser. If you have your screen size too small, that can cause problems too. Ideal size is 800x600 or bigger. Can you give the url of a post this happens on? -
Sorry but its not available with this software.

Hi Chico I was doing some maintanance work on the site yesterday that may have caused your problems. Is it OK now? Pete

Third Time Unlucky: This will be the third time I’ve mentioned the demise of the Goldfingers ogling den in Soi 7, but once again it is unclear as to whether the place has finally succumbed, or merely been forced to shut its doors for around 30 days due to the dancing damsels suffering a series of wardrobe malfunctions. This is one of Pattaya’s ‘black holes’ and I can only suggest that if it has indeed be finally forced to shut up shop, whoever is game enough to try and make the place work as an ogling den does a Sweethearts/The Dollhouse on it. That is, take the old, dark, dingy-l

What's Happened To My Avatar?
PattayaPete replied to monkeyman's topic in Technical problems or questions.
Well it's a bit tricky. I just changed the default size for avatars to 140x100, to make better use of the space available. If your avatar is bigger than that it will be resized to those dimensions. One answer if you want a square avatar is to edit it into a 140x100 sized image. Too much for most people but I just did it to your avatar to show that it can be done. I need to redo mine too. -
Yes. I did notice. I am not sure why that happened. Something in the moving process, probably some obscure parameter on the new server somewhere, that was different from the old server. I hope we will be here for a very long time now and won't have to deal with these issues again. As you can see, new posts are not effected.

Some of us think it is a little unwise of Bkk Tonight to be as open as it is. You never know who might stumble across these forums and some topics are best kept away from some people. If we have too many hoops then I'm sorry BUT it does help keep the site secure and operational. If it is absolutely impossible for you to get a non-web based email address you can PM me and I might give you access anyway, once I am sure you are who you say you are. BTW, elite is the word, not elete. Are you really a professor?

The open forum is for discussing Pattaya apart from bars, bar girls, bar boys, bar anything. There is a members forum specifically for that. It's been clear to everyone else for five years. I have limited space and don't want to spell out every little thing but please do not post about bars or bar girls or any related matters in the open forum where people who do not wish to be exposed to these things might stumble across it. Clear!

The site has been down for about 4 hours. The server crashed for some reason and I just checked it before going to bed for the night. Should be OK now.

If the government of Fearless Leader is genuinely concerned about the social dislocation caused by entertainment venues being allowed to remain open beyond midnight, then surely the gaze of ministers like No Matter, Preacher Malcontent and Purely Puritanical is pointed in the wrong direction when they demand the emasculation of boozers catering largely to foreign tourists and ex-pats. Their public statements make it clear the government wants to curb under-age drinking, drug selling and taking, and prostitution. Only in the latter is the attack against chrome pole palaces, beer boozers and the

A Week is a Long Time in Politics: I think it was former British Prime Minister Harold Wilson who made the comment that ‘a week is long time in politics’. If he’d been an observer of the Pattaya bar scene no doubt he would have been moved to make a similar observation about the happenings in this neck of the woods. In my last humble missive I wrote about the sorry tale of a cluster of beer boozers fronting the Soi 8 part of the Prince Hotel. They had been boarded up and it looked as though the owners had been well and truly shafted. However, on Tuesday 30 March the boards did a Berlin Wal

This board allows the moderator to give warnings when members break the rules. For a detailed explanation of the rules and warning levels, click Forum Rules at the top of this page. I get a lot of emails from people inquiring why they have a warning when in fact they do not have a warning. When you post a message on the board, you will see your warning level in the box on the left side of your post. The above member has his warning level set to 0%. In other words he does not have a warning. You will only see this warning level on your own posts. Warning levels are private to each

Cue the Mexican Standoff: For anyone who has wandered into the depths of Soi 8 in recent weeks the saga surrounding the closure and boarding up of the majority of beer boozers fronting the Prince Hotel is the stuff of thriller novels. Trying to unravel the intricate truth from the shame-faced fiction and the usual plethora of rumours is no easy task. So what follows may not be entirely correct. It’s my understanding that the Prince Hotel had been in the hands of a Thai bank for quite some time and they recently off-loaded this little piece of Pattaya black hole to a very prominent and we

Thanks for letting me know Howard. It's now fixed.

Your system is obviously accepting the cookie, or you would not be able to post here. Something is deleting it when you log off. You may have some anti-spyware or other utility that is doing this for you. You need to find which program is doing it and then configure it to keep the pattayapages.com cookie. Or if that is to hard, you'll just have to log in each time you come back.

Let me know if it happens again. When a PM is sent, you should get a pop up about it, as well as the new message thing on every page.

I never received an email from you about this! I have now changed the email address for the Blackhawke-Driver account to the same one you used to register turbota. If you log off now, then click on log in and then forgotten password, the password will be emailed to you. -

Difference between E-members and Members?
PattayaPete replied to Babepecker's topic in Technical problems or questions.
E-members have the Enhanced cache detection option turned on to disallow server cacheing of the index pages. It helps to avoid PHP pages being cached by incorrectly set up ISPs. Flags are available now. See post in the Members Bar. I'll think about the Pattaya clock. This forum works off GMT and allows members to select an off-set, thus showing local time on post information. I could set up a Pattaya clock if I thought it would be useful. I don't understand the question about headlines.
