  12. If staying in Bangkok take them to the anicient Siam place (copies of all major temples in Thailand) and should be done in a full day. Another attraction in Bangkok is the Bangkok water park has a big wave pool and several amusement style rides (including one rollercoaster ride I would not dream of going on - YIKES)! Didn't really like Chiang Mai when we went in March this year, shopping not really that cheap and the tourist attractions are all over prices as well IMHO.

  14. Hello All, Have just purchased a new Samsung Galaxy mini (first Android phone for myself) and I used to have the Nokia N8 OVI maps for Thailand which were excellent as far as I was conerned, never got lost. My question is with the new phone I think Google maps are pretty crappy, anyone got any suggestions for recommened android navigation maps download for Thailand please (and preferably free). I use Navigon for Australia and New Zealand, which are good but they have nothing for Thailand. Thanks in advance, Kev

  21. Just bought the phone above, pretty nifty and the S Translator I think is pretty cool except I'm told it doesn't do Thai translation. Anyone know if I bring it to Thailand when on holidays they might be able to put a Thai (talking) translator on it for me? Or perhaps someone have a link to where I can install one please? Thanks in advance, Kev
