Hot topic. I have the same situation. I need one implant, it's a molar. What's the best place to get it done? If I get one step done in LOS and one step done in the US? What is the best route to go? Or would it make sense to fly back and get both steps done in LOS? (I only come once a year for a month or so, but, I could be seduced into a second trip :) ...) Thanks in advance for any info that might be helpful.

OK, since this 25% warning is turning into such an issue with members in good standing and LTGTR seems not mind airing PM's, I will explain. Here is the long boring version; LTGTR started a new one liner thread in the politics and religion forum containing the word "nigger". I deleted the post and LTGTR was given a 25% warning. Not a big deal in my world. To those who have never recieved a warning, they come with a message explaining the reason for the warning. LTGTR PMs me twice on June 22nd: 1. "Care to explain my racist remark that I received my 1st warning for after how many years here?" 2. The second PM is a very long rant about Arab women in burkas on a flight trying to touch his child and an air marshal upgrading him to business class. My Reply: "Now why should I explain your racist remark?" Taken in context, I open my messages and have two, one a long rant about Arabs and the other asking me to explain his remark. Sounds like a wind up to me. LTGTR PM's me twice on June 23rd: 1. First of all,I don't even kow what entry you're referring to and second and most obvious to all but you,you're the moderator who issued the warning! If you can't do your job properly,let me know ad I'll contact Martin on your behalf." 2. "What racist remark are you referring to?" My Reply to the first PM: "You made a post that broke the rules. I deleted it and sent gave you a 25% warning. You seem to be asking me to explain a post that you made. Sorry I can't do that. If you are looking for a quote of your post, sorry, I didn't save it. I sift through hundreds of posts a week and don't remember them all exactly, nor do I care to. Feel free to contact anyone you choose. If Martin wants to remove the warning he will. I'm just a moderator, he makes the ultimate decisions and I encourage you to contact him if you feel I have treated you unfairly. If you feel I made a mistake, or someone posted under your handle, or you made a comment you regret for whatever reason then we can discuss it. By the time LTGTR gets around to simply asking the question he should have asked in the first place, he took the entire issue public before I had a chance to reply and the story plays out from here at the top of the thread. I think the entire thing is just a wind up.

LTGTR, Funny you: 1) Post my PM to you, yet you leave out all the crap in the four PM's you sent me. 2) Don't include your original comment. I simply deleted the post because anyone who has been on this board long enough should know better. I'm not here to teach people how to act. That's why it's a warning and not a ban. For the record, if LTGTR had simply come to me and said, "hey, I was out of line. Can you take me off warning?" It probably would have been done and no one would have been the wiser. Seems like LTGTR is up for some shit stirring. That's sad. I've given about 3-4 warnings in total since I have been on board as a moderator. Every one of them have been justified. No I'm not going to repeat the comment. If LTGTR wants to repeat what he said, then that's up to him. In case anyone is wondering, the reason I did not post LTGTR's ranting PM's to me is that PM stands for PRIVATE MESSAGE. I don't post them.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they pay rent wherever they are moored. Most places waterways in first world countries have a limit as to how long you can simply hang around without paying rent. Sounds crazy, but it's true. Even in the Miami area you used to be able to just anchor out and live aboard, now that is all changing. I'm reasonably sure the London canals are designated "no discharge zones", meaning you have to have a way to get rid of your sewage or face BIG fines. I live part time on my sailboat and pay about US$1000 for six months mooring, this includes: a place park my car, a dock for my dinghy a dumpster for trash, hook up and charge my batts, fill my water tanks, tie up to a dock for a few hours if needed, empty out my sewage. Hardly expensive. For another fee I could have wifi. I was ass u ming that Thailand would be about the same price or maybe cheaper. I can't imagine living aboard and not having a way to at least fill my water tanks and tie up for routine maintanance.

Not sure if this is a wind up or not. I'll answer anyway. Water? Power? Internet? Cable? Sewage? Mooring or Dock space? Fuel? Parking for your car/bike? Why not just live in a marina like the rest of the live-aboards do? Or go cruising?

In theory it should work. However, humans in general are idiots. Think of it like a UK or US lottery. If the prize is 100 million the tickets sell like hotcakes. On the other hand, try giving away 100 seperate one million dollar winners each week and people start to yawn. Makes more sense to me to give out the 100 prizes, but the numbers show that ticket sales decline.

But if I read it on the internet it must be true!? Why people are thick enough to post crap someone forwards them in an email is the real reason behind why the world is going to end Snopes.com also discounts this story.
