200bt bar fine is it worth doing

Hi guys

 

well the reason i am asking is that we have had a 200bt bar fine for a long time .

 

We are looking at many thing at the moment in a push to offer a better service .

 

Would a 200bt bar fine after 2am make you drop in for a drink and hopfuly take a girl if you find one you like or would this make no differance to you at all ?

 

With high season upon us and many new girls starting or coming back it can be hard to work out which way to go.

 

I would like to think that i can find some way that is a win win for all .

 

anyway should i keep the 200 bt bar fine or but the price up ??

If I had not BF by 2am ,200 bf would be ok for me .

 

But I all ways think to BF the little stunner you have to BF early in the night .

I popped into your place a few times after 2am, after visiting a few bars with a few other boardies

 

Each time, I brought a few drinks and a BF

 

So, I would say keep it going it's a few more THB spent with you, and not your competitors

Personally I'd be well tucked up in bed already with a barfine by my side at that hour, so I wouldn't care less!

Better to lower barfine to 400 baht at all hours, that would keep the punters pouring in!

I know we have some cheap charlies here but i bet you that they will wait outside and then pay you nothing !!

you're in business to sell drinks, not barfines, and your goal should be to bring people in to drink... when you ask yourself whether you should have a declining barfine, ask yourself if that helps to achieve your goal of selling drinks, hurts it, or has no impact.

 

for example, if a guy shows up at 12:30am and likes a girl, but he's cheap enough to wait until the barfine drops before taking her at 2am, well, now he (and his friends, if they're with him) is going to be in your bar for 90 minutes drinking. how often will this happen?

 

what if it means people don't bother going to your bar until 1:50AM each night, and they drink elsewhere until then? how often will this happen?

 

 

 

on the surface, i like the idea of a declining barfine as the night goes on... it makes sense when you consider that technically the barfine is to compensate the bar for not having the BG there, and the later in the night she's barfined, the less time she'll miss from work.

 

it also makes sense in terms of those punters who make deals with BGs to meet them outside the bar 15 minutes after closing to avoid paying a full BF... maybe you'll change their ways.

 

but in practice, if i want to take a girl, i'm not going to wait around. and last week i went to coyotes after the barfines had dropped, and there wasn't anybody left that i'd want to barfine...

 

and the logistics of having multiple prices for barfines are probably a pain in the ass for bar owners/managers.

 

so while i think it's a good thing to do in principle, it doesn't really impact me much and i could understand why the owners wouldn't want to bother with it.

I like the idea.

 

I don't mind paying a barfine, but I'm not crazy about shelling out 5-600 baht when I know she will be out of work soon. 200 seems fair at that time of night.

 

It's a strange system....

 

I can walk in to a small gogo, bar fine two stunners, not spend a dime on drinks and leave. This could put a dent in the evenings drink sales as two of the hotties are gone for the night.

 

I can hang out all night and run up a 5000 baht tab and still have to pay the barfine at the end of the night.

At least you saved the BF. The spinner I took from Coyotee's that night was completely useless. Hell, the TV remote was more interactive than she was.

 

For the OP: As to 200baht after 2am..........it honestly won't make me rush to the club, but if I wandered by at the time, and remembered the price, I'd take a look. Lower during regular hours would encourage me to stop by to buy a few drinks and check out the ladies.

I would definetly visit any GoGo bar that and bf pretty girls if the bf was 400 baht all the time. Bar fines are now more expensive in most Go Go bars than ST is with freelancers

Yes.

 

My princible is that if I bar fine a lady (I'm a big big freelancer loving guy), I must do this early in the evening so I get some worth for the spent bar fine money. I never ever go to a gogo bar and even imagine bar fining lady approximately after midnight because its "bar fine just for 1hrs" of time (well about). Many times I skip bar fining a lady with these parameters, or I ask her to see me in disco after work etc.

 

I know its somewhat not that simple, but thats the way I see it.

 

So surely if a gogo bar fine is 500b and your LivingDolls One would have 200b after 2am and bar is still open for about one hour, yeah I could try to look and bar fine lady for that money even if its so late. The full 500 sounds scary (add another and thats longtime price for lady already), but 200 is so low amount you only get like to drinks with that money.

Maybe a graduated barfine taken a few steps further would work better, The first discount say at 11:00 PM then the 200 baht near closing, maybe 1:00 AM. A friend of mine in Bangkok has different prices through the week. Slow nights are bolstered with cheaper bar fines and busier nights are higher. His business may be different because he depends on the expat trade and keeping the business steady night to night works better for him.

I don't understand how you can charge a bar fine for when you are supposed to be closed. Like said before if you charge 200 baht at 1 o'clock or even 12 o'clock that would be more appealing.

I have taken advantage of this once. One night I must have been concentrating on drinking too much. I found myself ladyless at about 1:30. I thought about my options and thought 'I wonder if that wonderful lady is still available at NLD1.' I arrived and she was still there. I thought great I'll have a couple of drinks and buy her a couple then leave after 2am. In all honesty I would have paid bar for her in any case.

 

My point is that this offer can be beneficial to everyone. The bar benefits by selling more drinks and perhaps a small amount from the bar fine, we gain because we save a little money and the lady wins because she gets a customer when she may have otherwise gone home alone that night.

What crowd you looking for? My guess is that the expats on a budget figure how to get out of a barfine. Two week millionares like me don't give a fuck about 300 baht. Don't discount the bf. Share the bf with the girls and encourgage good customer service. You don't have to give the money direct to the girls. Give out shots, food, things that the girls like. Happy girls = happy guys. I have no problem paying a good gogo girl 500 -600 baht bf, 2000 lt tip, plus food, drinks, etc. So a few 100 baht, use it to make your girls happy.

Now as far as barfining for 200 baht at 2:00 AM. I don't barfine any woman that late. In fact, I don't even barfine at 11:00 regardless of the amount or discount. By that time, I am already with my date for the evening.

 

If I don't have many hours of the evening with my barfine, it's useless to try to barfine late in the evening since it is almost over and I want to be in my room for some loving...

This is true for most people. But the 200bht idea could be a good way to pick up the walking street straglers. If im alone at 2am why not dip into his bar have a couple of drinks pay a cheap BF and take off. Obviously at 2am the girls available wont be the cream of the crop but...going home with an ugly chick is better than going home alone

At that time of night, I wouldn't care what the cost of the bf was. If I want the girl, then I would not worry whether the bf is Bht. 200, 400 or 600.

 

Also, after gaving been out drinking for 6 hours, money seems to lose its significance, which is probably why I always go home with an empty pocket.
