I was responding to another thread about successful advertising ideas for bars when I had to stop myself when I found myself suggesting lap dances as a way to get guys in the bar or keep them in the bar. It then occured to me that Lap dances really don't exist in Pattaya. What's up with that?

 

A free beer might not draw me in to the bar as I'm on vacation and have plenty of dough. $1-$2 is not doing anything for me. But what about the allure of a "free" lapdance from the dancer of your choice on stage? That might do it!

 

I'm talking about picking out a girl on stage and have her come over to my crotch and grind down for a song or 2. I will probably buy a couple beers! Just the idea of being able to pick a free lap dance lady would be enough to get me to come into the bar.

 

 

Yes. I know they will do that anyway or eventually, but allowing me to pick and choose puts me in charge and makes me feel like i'm in control. Mulphy? You listening? Tell me I can come in on Tuesday nights and pick any girl I want for a free lapdance if I mention this "special" and have that girl really turn me on with a grinding crotch dance, then shit! You have a point I won't deny. My interest lies in advertisement and ways to get punters to come to a bar. Agreed that BGs don't have to do anything (and who the hell wants a forced demonstration). Still, If the BG was assured of a 50Baht management differential for a simple lap dance to the "winning farang customer" I'm not sure that would be a bad thing. I haven't thought it all out yet, (and I have other promotionial ideas), but I'm sure we can be innovative and creative in thinking of new ways to attact and maintain repeat customers?

Here is a possible sequence of events as to why it might be a bad idea

 

First - free lapdances

Second - someone not familiar with the scene thinks its just like back home and starts stuffing baht in the bra

Third - BG thinks, this is an easy way to make a lot of money

Fourth - BG starts expecting/asking for tips

Fifth - BG no longer wants to sit and talk over a lady drink or two - not enough money that way

 

Seems to me how physical a lady gets in the bar is a possible indicator of how much fun can be had later in the room, but with the free lapdances it will just be a part of everyone's jobs.

I, like Tengotodo, found them lacking in Pattaya.

 

I resolved this situation by:

 

- Going to Soi 6

- Picking out a girl

- Going inside to the bar

- Sitting on a couch

- Buying her a LD

- Then having her grind on me for about a half hour.

 

She turned out to be more than fair game and I was out of pocket: a drink for me, a drink for her, and a little bit of conversation and encouragement.

 

Of course it led to sweaty sex in a hot upstairs room, but when on Soi 6...

Lap dances is a very bad idea. Just like the bars that offer table dances it causes the girls to get lazy as there is no need to go with a customer since she can make enough money by table dancing.

 

 

The same would happen with the "free" lap dance. They would be expecting tips and all incentives for them to go will evenutally go away.

 

I cannot see going into these table dance bars and give the girls tips to dance for me. Total rip IMHO>

Pleeeeeeaaase DO NOT encourage lap dancing in LOS!!

 

If the pretty girls are making tips by just giving lap dances....they will not want to be bar fined.

 

Last time I was in LOS I believe I saw lap dancing in the back room of a bar on Soi 2

 

One girl asked me if I wanted a lap dance for 100Baht

No offense to the OP, but this reminds me of a post on another board where posters were encouraging other punters to give 50 and 100 baht tips to dancers "to make things more lively" in gogo bars and really get the girls into dancing instead of shuffling.

 

Why screw with a good thing? I say keep lap dances in the west.

 

I find that many interested girls will generally give you a casual one anyways with a LD or two.

You know, I recall someone posting about having some sort of private room for lap dances and the like. I thought it was a bad idea then and I referenced the panty-less table dancers who have less of an incentive to go with the guys as they (the girls) are earning enough in tips.

Small room with a U shaped couch that sits about 4 - 6 guys comfortably. A table in the middle on which the girls dance. But must admit in my stays (before I was owner) the girls were mainly on our laps.

I think same thing about massage parlows with happy endings, some people go for a happy ending all the itme, but i go there just for a massage, usually after a boom boom session just to relax.
