She left the whole family at home when she went on a drunken holiday to Phuket, and now she won't even let the kids go to Disneyland with dad or anyone else unless she can go too.

I didn't know that the Phuket Governor paid her fine.

 

Just makes her look even worse knowing she sold her story and really didn't have to pay for the crime. Had she just talked to the police and bar when it happened none of this would have happened but then that bitch wouldn't have her 15 minutes of fame.

Also, tho she pled guilty (to avoid detention in jail) her friends admitted that they put the mat in her bag without her knowledge. she had told the BIB this when they came to the bar and her friends agreed with her but the police werent interested.

It is after all a bizarre 'joke' to slip something into a 'friend's' bag.

Is this what passes for fun in Oz? Do you do it to each other in department stores? Then laugh as they get stopped by security as the handbag causes an alarm?

 

I heard a similar story when talking to a Middle Eastern friend who claimed that people were slipping things into Middle Eastern women's bags as they strolled around Harrods in London. Purely a malicious racist act against his 'creed' he thought. Found it hard to give that credence too.

BigD reported that these lofty, truth-seeking people went to the police station, where they implored the corrupt constabulary to seek the real facts, and of course the incompetent clowns did no such thing because... well, you know.

 

Now you're saying they made this appeal in the bar? And the press reported they made their appeal back in Australia?

 

Do Australians play this trick a lot? When I'm in Australia, I never hear of such a "joke" as making your friends appear to be thieves and shoplifters. I'm glad you lot never played it on me. Do you put fake bombs in people's suitcases and airline carry-ons too? How common is this game?

Feel sorry for the kids, but why can't Dad or another relative take them to Disneyland? From everything I've read, following this story, she got what she deserved!
