That is a tough question. The only pizza in Thailand that I've found was in Phuket. In my home town, there is a locally famous parlor, known for the best pizza in town. I think it is. However when I took my friend from New York, he hated it. He likes a crust that is paper thin, and taste more like cardboard to me, and just one topping. When I took my in-laws that are Italian, they were not impressed either. Our answers on the best pizza would be completely different. Now add, being cooked by a Thai that had probably never even seen a pizza until they started work. Tough question. What does it take for a pizza to be good for you?

Edit: Pizza at Cafe Uno is good, for my taste, and those I have taken there.

Brick oven for even high heat.

Fresh dough made daily.

High quality sauce and cheese.

Same goes for toppings.

aussiechic pretty well nails it. In that extensive discussion, it was agreed that every pizza place in Pattaya is truly excellent.

Or, to put it another way, no pizza place in Pattaya has stood out to even two BMs.

Makes sense. What BMs do is drink a lot and screw. Gourmets we ain't.

Do ANY of the recommended places actually have sauce on their pizzas? Most in Patts/Jomtien don't.Without sauce,it's not pizza, unless you count white pizza, which doesn't count.

terrific spot opposite the roo bar on walking street.

Clean, cheap , good selection and very fresh food.

We ate there 3 or 4 times last trip.

Thanks for the Cafe Uno praise guys, my dough is home made from 2 types of Italian imported flour, our sauce is rich and toppings both fresh and the best I can source, button mushrooms not Thai, high quality cheese, German salami (peperoni) If your gonna give us a try,may I recommend the 'Wan Special'

Thanks <huh

Hopf serves the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Their oven isn't hot enough, and the center of their pizza is always raw.

Never had that happen to me. But I suppose if they guy cooking doesn't know how to tend the wood burning oven then the pizza would suck.

From my experiences here the best pizza found is The Pizza Company. Always enough sauce, toppings are good, plenty of them but not to many at the same time. I always order mine extra well done to ensure they are cooked to my liking. I know the OP said he didn't like chain-type pizzas but The Pizza company is worth a go. Right now they have buy one get one free. Last night I had 2, large pizzas with 3 toppings for 560 baht total. 600 including the tip. 300 baht for a large 3 topping pizza is not bad IMO.

Best place for a pizza in Pattaya is without a doubt wednesdays and fridays at "Champagne a GoGo"!

I mean in what other pizza place can you ogle nude ladies shoving up a double-headed rubber dildo in their pussies and peeing in public view, whilst you are munching on a slice of pizza!?

And the pizza is even free, as long as you pay for your drink!
