Oh, here we go again. :P

You've got the ball rolling though. Let's see where the sentiment lies.

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that Germany will dominate England. Oh, how about 3-1?

My mother was German but I am rooting for England

2-2 tie

No more ties, midlife. Overtime, shootout. You want to hold that golden hardware now, you have to actually win four in a row. Love to see England go on, but my head says the Chermans. Still, my feeling is that any team that can make the last 16 is actually capable of taking it all -- not LIKELY for a dozen of them at least, but possible.

Fair enough. Germany's team is a little long in the tooth. England

CT, I am assuming you responded to my post but cannot be sure. I will never see it. Best of luck to you. If you are inane enough to continue responding to my posts hence forth that is your waste of time. I won't waste mine reading your responses and have not for some time now.

Long in the tooth? They are one of, if not the, youngest squads in the tournament.

Correct, Germany is the second youngest squad!

One World Cup and two World Wars ... doodah doodah!

I think England wanted to play Germany all along, that's why they finished second in their group.

Unless England wakes up, I fear it will be 2-1 Germany.

The 2 teams are very closely matched, and the 1 who hits top form will win,I forecast 1-1 and we go thru on penalties

Really ??? England on Pens I don't think so

It will be 1-0 to England we will sneak one goal and will shut the door on them same as last night against Slovenia.

Watched England win last night and felt a whole lot better about their prospects. Anyone notice how incident-free and fair that match was? (Only 1 yellow card I think) - great, after all the outrageous cheating (shirt-pulling, flailing elbows, late tackles and obvious dives) in many other matches.

Germany vs. England is always exciting to watch, but it's anyone's guess right now. I'd prefer them to meet in the final, but it's not to be. I'm sorry to say it, but I fear Germany will win this one (hopefully not on bloody penalties though, those bastards cheat by practicing beforehand).

England can do it . However still a major concern of mine is Rooney . Is form is abysmal . I don't know if it is down to his mind set or if that injurie(The one he had at the end of EPL season) is still a factor .

I wanted him to score last night to boost his confidance . He was not happy at coming off .Personally I would of left him on if he isn't carrying a injury in the hope that he got that all importent first goal .

Milner was the best player on the field last night . Didn't see much of Gerrard or Lampard .

Johnson was crap & to me is a real weak link .

Good to see Barry back he he was Englands 2nd best player on the night. Overall it was not a grand stand performance but it was a clear annoncement that at last ENGLAND has arrived . Now bring on the Hun

Rooney didn't want to come off but he took a hard crack on the ankle ?

Am still bewildered how Milner is now considered our best player on the right whilst at the same time plays left sided for his club all season ??

Hi,

I think England have been really poor so far. Sweinsteiger and Ozil seemed to have injuries in the game against Ghana. If those 2 are fit and Klose is back I can only see one result.

Beckenbauer has just stated that England have stupidly messed up by not coming top of their group.

Whatever, everyone's beatable we should use our underdog status to relax. Everyone's expecting Germany to brush us aside...........Just like we were expected to deal comfortably with the US. For me I'd rather the Germans than Ghana.

John Terry's dive head first, hands by his side in front of that shot...........is the spirit we need. And just for once with Germany an even hand dealt to us.

However it pans let's go through or down fighting.

Bring 'em on! Best team wins!

He is just stating the obvious but there is a plus side to it . When they needed to do it they done it .Now if they can get the job done agaist the Hun their confidance will rocket .

Why do so many English board members call the Germans insulting names?

As a neutral I want Germany to win because of the beautiful stylish football they play.

Germany against Argentina is a game to look forward to if the Mexicans don't pull off a suprise.

I think you are under-rating the box-heads ability to take a little schtick and laugh at themselves.

After all they are known worldwide for their sense of humour and their amazing comedians such as ...mmm .. errrrr
