New gogo rumoured to open on LK metro

Recommended Posts

Read it on a forum a couple of weeks ago, so it must be true! Anyone seen if Blu Moon is closed and getting refurbed?

Getting quite a few gogos around there now. Oasis, Champaine, The Office.

Will ask LDK to go in and check the build quality of the tables :whistling:

Many guys I know spend their evenings around the soi Bauhkow area and dont bother with Walking street as the prices are so high and the chances of getting ripped off very high, with the 3 soon to be more Go Go's in this area as well as all the other entertainment there is no need really to travel to Walking street especially if you stay in or near soi Baukow.

Is Walking St that much more expensive than places like Champagne and Oasis?

I am extremely selective about any WS places I visit these days. Crazy prices and largely poor attitudes from the girls there, to the extent that any WS visit is a short one once I say hello to a friend or two in the area. Otherwise I'm much happier with the LK Metro area and the news of another LK Metro gogo (hopefully another good one too!) is great news for when I return.

I sure hope LK Metro doesn't become another WS. The LDOP's need a place to go and the tourist trap that WS has become is a perfect spot for them to hang out and be LDOP's. Let LK Metropole remain the quieter, friendlier and more affordable area. Everyone's a winner in that scenario!

Yes.

No !

- Draft beer in LK (Oasis, Champagne) is 60 baht. In WS you find it at 45 bath :D or even less (35 baht at Champion agogo !)

- Bare-Fine at Oasis is 700 baht and at Champagne is 800 baht :o for the lovelies. In most WS agogo it's only 500 or 600.

- Lady-drinks are 120 baht at Champagne :gulp while only 105 baht in top agogos like Baccara

- etc.

I don't drink draft as it's utter shit. Bottled beer is considerably cheaper in Champagne as compared to WS. Cheapest bottle I've found is 105b in Champion. (95b bottled beer in Champage and 65b during happy hour from 2pm-9pm)

Strangely enough, when I've paid bar at Champagne it was 550b. Maybe you're getting the "special tourist" rate or only going for the showgirls?

Ladydrinks are 95b, lady drink cocktails are 120b. Looks like you need to be a bit more alert when in Champagne!

:gulp

You have to look better :P . I am not a specialist of beer price (I don't drink alcohol) but I do know that several agogo on WS drink bottle of beer for less than 100 baht all night  . Diamond and Sweathart advertise 95 baht, and I think it's 80 baht or less at Hooty's, at Coosy's, ...

I said "for the lovelies". BarFines at Champagne is 550 baht for Dancers, Service but 800 for Hostess, Showgirls and Coyotes, and as I never saw any girl I would BF in the first category, the BF is then 800 baht for all the ones who could interest me... Expensive.

I certainly paid 120 baht LD last visit, about 1 month ago :whistling:

PS: Looks like others mention 120 baht LD too : http://www.pattayagogos.com/gogopl.asp#C

So more choice and better prices to be found on Walking Street. :nod

there are 4 plus one more coming (1 off soi chayapoon, not strictly LK,bUT Oasis isnt Lk)

4 ? I know Champagne and Office in Soi LK, Oasis not far on Soi Buakao, ok.

If the 4th one is Baby Boom, I think I heard it closed recently ??

Hi Damon,

I verified tonight. Several places have very low price for bottled beer on Walking Street.

By example Cosy's (nearly opposite Champion) has bottle at 70 baht all night

and Roxy - one of the top agogos for me - has bottled beer 65 baht all night at Roxy ! :thumbup

Champagne is then 30 baht more expensive for beer than Walking Street :clueless

:thumbup

Off Soi Chayapoon? You do realize we're talking about gogos with female dancers, right? :clueless

Cosy may have cheap beer but are severely lacking in young and good looking women, at least the last time I was in there in July.

Your taste may vary. :whistling:

And yes I paid the 800 baht barfine for a coyote dancer in Champagne. I believe she was well worth it. :kissing

Yes, that is what Soi Cowboy used to be in Bangkok.

My last visit to Soi LK I was in Oasis... it was OK but seemed a bit disorganised.

It was also smokey and smelly... and even there there was once a spell of scamming.

But at the moment LK offeres an alternative....... good. I believe one or 2 WS

places do offer similar beer prices, and the advantage of there bring more than 2 other places worth a visit and being on the baht bus route.

And whoever thinks Cosy offers cheap beer must have been in a different one than I went in...perhaps Sweethearts?

Cheers, Idefix. Some good research there. I've never been in Cosy's and it's been 2+ years for Roxy for me. How does the talent in those places compare to Champagne?

I hope you're willing to suffer a little to do a bit more research :chogdee

In the meantime I'm not in Pattaya so you'll have to do the legwork for me :)

I dont think it is quite as simple as just picking out one or two bars out of 50 odd in Walking street to compare prices between the street and the 3 gogos in the LK.Buakao area. They dont appear that exensive in the area and Oasis has been doing a two drinks for one happy hour for some time in the evening.

I think that its a good idea, for more gogos to start up in that area and if they are going to succeed then they will have to compete with Champaigne and Oasis which are now well established and quite busy.

The is with walking street, is that it is saturated and some of the gogos are empty when you walk in, whilst others packed. I would seldom go there just to visit one bar, but I do like to get away from the area after an hour or two personally, as it is a bit too, touristy for my liking.

The last night I soent at Champagne agogoi, it was buzzing and 4 of us just about got a seat. Loads going on , both centre stage and the corner shows too.

As far as chayapoon goes, I would like to see the whole street pulled down and re built, its a shit hole.
