Beware of freelance stunners

I had a very bitter experience in pattaya on 6th march 2011.I was standing alone in front of the central festival mall in central pattaya around 10pm waiting for my friend who was shopping around and then two stunners came on their bike and asked me whether I would be interested in a ST for 500 baht .They spoke good english both the girls are tall at 5ft7in and 5ft6in and 9 and 8 beautywise and I told them I would be interested in LT for 2000 baht and asked their mobile no so that I could call them after sometime ,they said they were not interested for a LT and drove off.

 

My friend joined me after sometime and we had dinner at a nearby indian restaurant and I told him about the incident.We finished our dinner and were just standing outside the restaurant planning to go to pp massage parlour .Then suddenly these stunners appeared on their bike and waived at us and approached us and invited us to their place which they said was a 2minute walk.I told the ladies to come to our hotel Bella express which is nearby and one of the ladies who I think is half filipino and half thai told that she has no problem as she is a Thai but her other friend is from laos and hotel staff would not allow her friend in and since her place was nearby she suggested all of us would go there.As my friend was already smitten by the lady from laos and both were carresing each other, I told the thai lady to come to the hotel with me and let her laos friend take my friend to their place,she said since her friend is new to this place she

could not leave her friend with my friend.Bythis time my friend also got into the mood and told me not to waste time and all of us would go to their place, I reluctantly agreed and my friend was already pillion riding on the laos lady's bike and they drove off asking us (me and thai lady)to follow them .

 

We just walked for a minute and this girl suggested we take motor taxi bike and called a bike which was passing us (this was happening as per her plan).As we were driving she asked me when I was leaving and I told her the next day and she said we should have met before ,finally after 5minutes We reached their place and the time was around 1am and she asked me to give 100 bahts to the taxi guy which I did. The room was small with low ceiling and her laos friend and my friend were already stripped to their underwears.She told me that that they have another room and told her friend to take

my friend to that room and they left(my friend and her laos friend).

 

She told me strip and have my bath but when I saw the bathroom was small and had no bath tub ,I said We would rather wait for my friend to finish his massage and we all three (me,my friend and she) would go to my hotel and leave her laos friend in the room.She thought for a second and said her laos friend would have to leave for Bangkok in an hour and she had to drop her at bus station and she could not come to my hotel now and told me to strip so that she could give me massage first and started kissing me and undressing me .I put my clothes beside her clothes on the floor and

after 5minutes of my thai massage she got a call on her cell and she hurriedly said the land lady of the house saw us entering the room and to avoid problems we had to leave the room immediately and they (her laos friend and she)would join us at our hotel.I dressed up quickly a little bit confused and and came out of the room and saw my friend was already standing outside waiting for me and the thai lady asked the motor taxi guy who was waiting there ( as per their plan) to take us to the the hotel.

 

On the way to the hotel I asked the taxi guy to stop at 7/11 store to buy some chewing gum but he ignored me and dropped us at the entrance of the bella express hotel and drove off without collecting his fare . When we came out to buy some chewing and when I opened my wallet to pay I found all the money was missing some US$1700 worth ofcurrencies.I was carrying this huge amount because my room safe was not working properly.

 

The girls hit a jackpot, a well planned theft.I still do not understand, the lady was infront of me all the time and I was not drunk and the room was locked and how could they steal all the money without me noticing?

Second line "on their bike". They weren't girls. Right there was the error.

 

Hotels don't bar Lao girls or half-Lao girls. They bar known crooks. There are lots of other warning signs, too.

 

They got your money with a confederate who crept in or more likely reached through a wall, stole and stripped your wallet while you were otherwise engaged. This is an old, hoary scam. You deserve a lot of thanks for writing it up BUT if "two stunners on a bike" ride up, just say no. Always. No exceptions.

Yup. WAY too many warning flags before you even got to the room. Thats what forums like this are for... learning (preferably ahead of time) things just like this. Been reported a number of times on this forum.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience, the old guy under the bed trick.

 

Do not go out with so much money on you... if the hotel safe is not working, ask for another room with a functioning safe.

 

If it is not forthcoming, consider a change of hotel.

 

Your choice of female company here in Pattaya is wide, and if one seems to be manipulating you, be suspicious and look elsewhere.

If you missed that one all the other continual, red flashing, warning signs after this point would be of no assistance.

 

If you go to Pattaya you need to man up! If you're paying you're the boss and you call the shots not the 2 ladyboys you were hiring.

Frosty and Jacko are both right. First, Your room should have a functioning safe, or a safe behind the desk, both are better, keep 1/2 your money in each. No safe, demand a different room, or move to another hotel.

 

Red flags came up over and over. You had gut instincts that you let your friend override. Listen closely: One of the purposes of having a wingman on holiday is to keep each other safe. Your friend should have listened to you, and you should have been more forceful in your warnings to him. When you or your friend says "hey something isn't right here, lets move on" Listen to one another. There is no shortage of ladies in Pattaya, you won't miss anything by moving on.

 

Never, ever go to a Thai's room, that you have just met. I could give you five reasons, but, just never do it. Your hotel should have a safe, collect ID's from ladies, have security camera's. Any lady that does not want to go to YOUR room, is afraid of giving up ID, and being caught on camera. When checking into a hotel, ask and verify that the hotel has a safe, collect ID's, does not return ID's with out you being with the lady, or calling your room to make sure that you are OKay. They are required to have security camera's, verify that camera's work.

Very good advice and brings us back to one of the questions asked here a lot and that is about the so called "Walk of Shame". Lets face it you have more chance of avoiding this sort of debacle if the girls have to sign in/out. I also believe that you double your chance of recovery if they have a known place of work that you can try to trace them through. As the man said, you have been royally screwed but I respect your putting the info here as a timely reminder to us all.

I don't understand this part. Bath? Who the hell takes a bath? Why did you care if there was a bathtub or not? Massage? You were there for a massage? Why would you suggest the girl go back to your hotel with you and your friend when you were already there at her place? So were your clothes out of your sight at any time?

 

This is one thing I always have on the back of my head when I go to a ST place like Soi 6 where sometimes the shower is down the hallway and I have to leave my clothes, haven't had anything happen yet though, but I feel uneasy about leaving my clothes out of sight. That is some serious bad luck what happened to you.

 

Remember to always use your safe, and don't stay in room without one.

 

Those girls not wanting to go back to your hotel would have been a serious red flag for me. I would not have gone to their room with them insisting like that, would have thought about getting jumped by multiple Thai guys or something.
