Who the fuck care about the live music, the decent food, freelancers, russian tourists when going on the hunt ?? No Americans etc.. thanx God, they won't spoil the scene with their mental weakness... I can share only my only one yesterday's visit in the Champagne...there were more stunners in one bar, than in a half dozen WS bars you mentioned... I'm only guess you visited the WS bars long ago...

To answer your questions: I care about live music. I care about decent food. I care about freelancers. Oh, but I'm an American so I must appreciate these things because of my "mental weakness". OK, you like LK Metro. Fine. But there is no need to flame those you disagree with. And IMHO insulting certain nationalities should have no place on this board.

It's an agogo as much as sweethearts certainly, and when I was there with a bar crawl they had a show with a fully nude dancer. It's a gogo.

Did they change something recently? My last (and only) visit was around the 10th of September: all dancers were in mini-short and top-on-bra (coyote clothes); not even one breast to be seen; and a long window on Soi LK side allowing to see top-half of dancers from outside!

As for myself, I enjoy LK Metro and that area more than Walking Street. At least they don't have hoards of Looky Loo tourists blocking the streets.

 

As for good looking girls, I only need one and have seldom had any problems finding one. Taking the edge off at Lolitas in the afternoon also makes me a lot more particular bar hopping in the evening.

L.K. Metro - Soi Buakhow - New Plaza are the future of Pattaya, look how many business are opening along Buakhow.

Beach road will become predominantly Hotels, Condos and shopping malls, in fact, i can see Beach road eventually becoming pedestrianised. the bars that used to be along Beach road have mostly gone now and the few that are left will more than likely not last too long, however, the new complex at the bottom of Soi 8 seems to be doing quite well (note, the prices are roughly the same as New Plaza e.t.c.).

The whole area between Second road and Soi Buakhow will become the new Pattaya, Walking street is fast becoming, purely a tourist attraction.

Champagne is very good and the music, sound system and videos in Kiss are Great. Submarine has a great atmosphere but i can't understand why i like it, it's small and basic but for some reason it works.

About three bars have been knocked into one at the south end of Buakhow, to make an open GoGo, iv'e spotted it from a Baht bus and think it might be worth a visit, i'll have to check it out later.

 

Part of what makes the area good is what it does NOT have . . . . Namely: Russians - Arabs - Indians e.t.c.

I know that in Pattaya agogo is generally associated with some level of nudity and I to resort to that determination from time to time.

That said nudity has NOTHING to do with the definition (English) of the word agogo.

Very well said And I also agree with most of Ergodyne's comments. Personally I like the general atmosphere of the Metro/Buakhow area. Sure its not as 'lively' as WS but like many BM's have said earlier, that is for some, a bonus. The Pattaya scene is changing and looks like it is zoning itself.....one really touristy area, one more laid back area and who knows maybe even a family area!! But I for one think the addition of a couple of extra gogo's is positive. It won't yet persuade me away from visiting WS but maybe I'll be spending a little longer in Metro.

I have had good nights on Soi LK also good nights on walking street ,as we know you may go into a place one night have a fantastic

night go the next night and the place is empty ,so can see what all the fuss is about.

 

I think it is great to have many locations now where you can go in Patts ,

 

I just go to the places where my mates will be, to me its does not matter where I go as I can have a good time any where

 

Both good posts, I stay in the area because if you want a good night out it's right on your doorstep. If you want to visit WS or soi 6 or anywhere else transport is easy. I'm neither a CC or a LDOP well some nights I can be either or.

Good points... however my point was, if I want live music I go to a live band venue, if I want to eat I go to an eatery.... and if the girls in the question, I go to a GOGO bar... Please don't be sulky because you are american and please note the " etc. " remarks... I was bantered/insulted many times as a hungarian, but I'm immune of it, it's just a coincidence where I or you was born, I don't believe in the patriotism and in the other herd activities.... I don't recall when we went there on a crawl, but it was in the last couple of months. We stayed about 45 minutes, and during that time, they had a dancer come out to do an almost burlesque show...a multi-song strip, as it were. By the time she finished, she was nude. You won't see that at Club Blu.

 

I have only been there once, and I suspect they are tinkering with their format and staffing, so who knows what they were doing the night you went.

Well for a while there was only the GO-GOs in the area now known as WS (Soi Diamond), plus of course TQ. There was also a lot of beer bars all the way down beach Rd. It was still Pattaya..... and it certainly was not boring. I might hazzard a guess that it was more intersting then... but that is likely me changing.

 

But your point being an alternative to WS is desirable, and there used to be one before the Pattayalands changed gender, and that was conveniently near to WS too. Soi LK Metro is a bit far out, and last time I stayed in town I had a night there and went to my Soi Diana hotel relatively early ... the place died at 2am!

I went to Sugar Sugar 3 or 4 weeks ago. The "show" ended with the girl topless. The thing I did like about the place was the decor - I thought it was the best designed place in Pattaya: it gave it an upmarket feeling. Sadly, that feeling was ruined by a bunch of loud, drunken Aussies sat behind us. But it's definitely on the list of places to revisit next time.

 

On the subject of Champagne, I think all the comments just go to prove what we all know -

- that places change not just from week to week but from hour to hour, and

- that one man's stunner is another man's dog.

 

I was in Pattaya for 4 weeks recently and visited Champagne more than any other bar. I always managed to get a seat, something that has not always been true on previous trips. There has never been s shortage of good looking girls there on any visit I've ever made that I can recall. The girls will leave you alone but it usually takes only a prolonged look for them to join you.

 

I do agree about the smoke - better air extraction is required. In the past, when the place has been more full, it has sometimes suffered "soccer hooligan" syndrome - probably a problem with being situated in Soi LK Metro. The service staff don't clamp down on it as they would in a WS place.

 

Regarding Soi LK Metro generally, some posts here imply it is a place mainly for the Brits. My recent experience is that there are plenty of Americans, Aussies, Germans, (Oriental) Asians and, no doubt, others there as well. However, I would agree it seems to attract Brits from the lower end of the social spectrum. Apart from Champagne, all the go-gos have a long way to go to reach the average level found in WS.

Its a good business strategy. mainly farangs stay in the area and with walking street getting taken over by tour guides and russian, arab and indians walking up and down the street like headlesss chickens holding each others hands and drinking a small can of singha beer from the 7 eleven it gets a pain going there.
