You do know Khelifa is still in the competition and guaranteed a medal. She(?) is scheduled to fight the Thai girl in the semi final on Tuesday.

The Taiwanese boxer who failed a gender test last year is also guaranteed a medal.

Must have been a different fight; it's still in the Olympics women competition.

was born a woman,  raised as a woman,  i'm guessing that means her parents saw her vagina while she was growing up,   has a passport as a woman, has testosterone levels below that required by the IOC.

what's your definition of a woman?

because that seems fairly complete.

Was born with XY chromosomes which is a male marker, not female; despite how it was raised.

But this is the wokest Olympics yet, two males may be competing for the female boxing gold unless the Thai girl, ironically, upsets the algerian man.

It does look a lot like kaepernick.

You left off the very important part, she was born with XY chromosomes.

Here's a good article that discusses the issues around the disorder of sexual development and advantages gained by the presence of XY chromosome. I've included two quotes from the article regarding the advantages gained from the body's ability to utilize testosterone.

Finally, they must have a “material androgenizing effect” from extra testosterone. In other words, their bodies respond to testosterone in ways that are typically seen in men, as opposed to individuals whose bodies don’t respond to testosterone that way even though they have the XY chromosome pattern.

But, according to a yearslong study from scientists working with the I.A.A.F., the extra testosterone helps, at least in shorter races. Endocrinologists agree that testosterone provides advantages that are not available to athletes with two X chromosomes. It increases the number of red blood cells, allowing more oxygen to get to muscles. It increases the size and power of skeletal muscles that produce more powerful strides.

Then there's the undescended testes but any katoey worth its salt knows how to deal with that.
