  1. Can't see a dentist at the beach rd end of soi 4 or 5 If you could post a link using this utility, perhaps I could take a look when passing. Pattaya Photo Guide
  2. Just a thread or two down..... 1st November. UK Passenger Duty
  3. Yes, pies and pasties and fish and chips.Land at swampy and back on the Thai food. I don't eat pizza these days, overpriced cheese on toast for those challenged by cutlery.
  4. Didn't they show you samples of each type?I doubt they are of metallic appearance, like the guy Jaws from the bond film. Had one done for about 8000 a year back and it looked like porcelain.
  5. Further, the company offering a policy that sounded like yours (AA maxicare) was named LMG.
  6. Be cautious...... An acquaintance is undergoing some painful and unpleasant dental work now due to an implant that didn't take due to insufficient underlying bone or a poor bond. Some practitioners don't think past the money they are making.
  7. Yes it is busy. Hotels are well booked up, well priced up and often include an obligatory gala dinner for NYE.It is celebrated in a very big way with spectacular fireworks and quite wild, much more so than an average evening in August! You will enjoy yourself but book early.
  8. Yes, dare we hope MU will not dominate this season? Don't hold your breath though eh, they often start a bit sloppy and seem to be lacking the scoring finish.... they even missed Ronaldo for the penalty! Spurs at the top.....
  9. Seems dumb doesn't it. Certainly won't do British Airways any favours. I didn't need any incentive to avoid Heathrow and go via Amsterdam... but having the price of going via the Middle East increase is bad.
  10. I don't smoke but Heathrow does that to me anyhow!
  11. Extremely useful stuff and a subject I was discussing only yesterday with someone. He mentioned a policy that sounds exactly like your AA maxicare, although under a different name....I forget. But the same high 5 mil cover and premium deductions if you remove USA (and UK I was told). Also deductions for removal of outpatient care. And a 5% no claims bonus for next year! He also mentioned some optical inclusion too, get your eyes tested and glasses included! I might see the guy next week and get more details then. Could you tell us your age bracket Dr, as that obviously affects the premium.
  12. Well you might recall that there was some confusion a while back, the guy might have been trying to acquire my login as I was getting password reset messages.I have also had a few PMs obviously meant for him, I wanted to deter that. You seem to be having a sig purge, what is that about? Anybody want to buy a smashed up 100w speaker..... ?
  13. Like an AC controller?Wow..... they think of everything on these expensive models. If you aren't using it, this holder........ How's the sig looking? I was thinking of adding a credit.
  14. Gray for me mate.....He probably never worked at the Hell Club either, neither. How do you fix your phone to the wall?
  15. Well his concert got cancelled ....I thought you had a bar and a band for your music..... I also thought a bar owner would know about my needs...... must be a shop somewhere all these closing and opening bars get supplied from. Thanks for the English tip, gray area this for me, like 'who' and 'whom'....... how do you spell 'hottest' again?
  16. Err, he's dead MM???I had an incorrect jacko reference only a month or so back.... but I will give it a go. How about my bracket???
  17. For someone who lives here I certainly struggle to find things... I need to buy a fitting to mount speakers to the wall, quite heavy speakers..100W. The fitting I have is knackered, but is like a ball (knee) joint. Asked in Homepro, BigC etc to no avail..... Pattaya area.....
  18. For the first 10 minutes, I though MU have got this. Then they just seemed to slow up and be overwhelmed.True on the youngsters, but I see a hole where Ronaldo was. I keep thinking more of Benitez than he perhaps deserves!
  19. I don't thing Sir Alf thinks that in the slightest, he was taught that lesson in the European Cup.....I think he wants another of those... Either the purse strings have been tightened, or see a good signing soon from him soon. MU were nearly caught last season, and Liverpool showed bottle... time for a change, Liverpool.
  20. Don't hear much of this, perhaps there is some rule that only Thais can drive boats, most certainly the fishing boats can only be captained by a local.Anything is possible but I would be very wary of one of them claiming damage to the boat and extorting money... like they do with the jet-skis. I did what you wish with a jet ski, but Pattaya was less built up back then. Sounds like fun!
  21. Air Asia are great for the short flights. Cheap, good booking engine and somewhat better than many budget carriers. Just be aware of things like luggage weight limits.... if you have to pay at the airport it is aggravating and expensive. And some of the gals are hot in their lovely red two piece suits!
  22. I was wondering how to knock sense into some of these guys..... but your comment Tom, speaks for me well!
  23. No. That would be the case for one of the Expats club's group plan. They will not accept you over 60 for new cover, but join at 59 and you can be insured up to 65. But insurance (over 65) is likely available beyond that age, it is whether the cost is justifiable. An Insurance broker would advise you accordingly. But be advised, many companies do draw a line at 65. Many 'insure themselves', keeping funds available locally just for medical emergency reasons. Another consideration is the quality of health care, much is spoken here of the great facilities and high standard. But of late, in the Pattaya area, I have heard much of an attitude of greed.... apparent diagnosis of needed procedures that were dubious and cynical and perhaps aimed primarily at making money.
  24. I was there a few weeks back. Ribs and food were pretty good but the noise from the market and what they charge for a beer spoiled the experience for me.
