Better Call Saul is not quite as wild and outrageous as BB. More nuanced.. Well written, superb production values. Cinematography, editing on par with BB. Watching the character development of Saul and others who appear in BB is special. We are halfway through the current season and really enjoy it!

I assume you are talking about the LAX/BKK Thai flights? I flew that route quite a bit myself. Awesome! What a difference it made, nonstop versus connecting. I too remember a couple of flights back well under 14 hours.

Highland Ape Rescue out of West Virginia will be teaming up with Cornwell Primate farms to supply hundreds of monkeys and apes to the Senate. The animals will be fed a nutritious mixture of foods that produce easily throwable feces. Protective glass will be put up around the Senate for camera crews to safely film, but anyone being interviewed by the new senators will have to sit in the middle of the poo-flinging octagon, coming under a heavy barrage of projectile excrement. “It will be a huge improvement from how things were before,” said ape trainer, Marlena Henwick. “No more 10-12 hour hearings. With these monkeys, all the fecal projectiles will have been flung in under 30 minutes. I like the Soi13 area. I stayed at the Avani a few times when it was the Marriott. Comfortable, as someone mentioned you are almost in a cocoon. If you are taking a babe it makes sense. I usually stay at the Whitehouse Condotel. Can cross 2nd, have the Avenue Mall, another block or two the Soi Buakhao. Or walk along Beach Rd to Walking St. 10 min walk, 15 stroll. Hilton is a much longer walk. Probably twice the time. Sometimes there is very bad traffic on Beach Rd. You can walk faster than the baht buses. Have never stayed at the Hilton. Looks very nice. Has some very nice restaurants between it and the attached mall. Soi 7 beer bars close, closer to Soi 6, etc. My preferences for Walking Street makes Soi 13 my preference.

I have met several UK physicians over the years who "moonlight" on the weekends, etc in Germany where the "pay is so much better". Re heart surgeon: In S Cal I used to have a neighbor who comes from a family of heart surgeons (his father is a partner in a major practice). Roughly 10 years ago he told me that the average remuneration was getting close to $1 million. I would assume it is past that at this point.

Yes it is true. Part of the reason is insurance companies pride themselves on lowering costs. The usually will only pay a minor percentage of stated costs. So the doctors and hospitals mark things up much over what they actually expect to receive. It lets the insurance companies look good....
