Ok I did not stay at this hotel or take the pictures(they were emailed to me by the staff) but I did look at the rooms and they looked Very Good...just like the pics. I did not stay there because they did not have Wi Fi AND there was major construction going on beside the hotel. The kind of construction that pounds all day long!

Do they have a website? Was wondering if the room pics shown over captions were accurately citing the room for the particular price.

You say no wifi, but is there a connection for a laptop and do they charge for it?

No website that I know of, only e-mail on the business card.

Pics show the correct room with price....that's how they were e-mailed to me.

No internet connection for guests when I checked. They only had a connection for staff at reception.

The web site http://www.hotelpasadenalodge.com/ says the hotel has WiFi - doesn't say wether it is available in all rooms though or how well it works. The rooms certainly look good. It is a toss up between there and the Pattaya Bay Resort.

Do not pay for you entire stay at Pattaya Bay Resort up front. Pay for two or three nights: you may not like the noise factor there and wish to rethink your hotel stay. Noise is always a crapshoot, maybe good maybe not.

I stayed at both hotels during my Feb - March trip and enjoyed both places. The main difference between the two hotels is that the Pasadena does not have a pool and no restaurant/room service on premises, but the Pasadena rooms were cheaper and I liked the location better. :allright

I did not bring a lap top so cannot comment on the wifi.

I was intending to book via the web but that is a good idea to book for a couple nights and try it out. It always good to leave your arrangements " fluid " so as to speak. Can try a couple of places that way.

How about the construction noise? I heard they were still pounding.

I stayed there in March and the construction noise wasn't to bad, just a little sporadic pounding late morning which I easily slept through.

Not sure if the noise has increased now. the new building was only a few feet away from the bathroom window, so if the construction activity does increase I would imagine the noise would be intolerable

Check out their website. The rates went up a little (as you might expect). But there is absolutely no break for long stays. Weekly and monthly rates are just multiples of the daily rate. :D

Does anyone know if there's a plan for the soi where it dead ends at Pasadena Lodge? It doesn't seem as though there's a way to connect to Soi Honey Inn, unless they tear something down.

I heard a few years ago that someone wanted to connect Soi Honey Inn with Soi LK Metro, but the person who owned that strip of land did not want to sell it. I wish the sois were connected as it would have increased the foot traffic through Soi LK Metro.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe they're holding it until the price is right. It would be handy. The bad thing though is that it would probably become a race track for the motorbike taxis.

From my experience they are willing to discount the room rates for stays of longer than 3-4 weeks but the reduction offered will be minimal. Need to discuss with 'Ann'.

Would this still be possible with the newly constructed building next door to Pasadena Lodge?

Unclear, is the safe deposit an in room safe?

I can confirm that there is an in room safe in the superior rooms. I did not check out the standard rooms.

Thanks for posting.

I gotta say, the rooms look good & at a fair price but I think I would miss a pool for daytime and occassionaly the room service. But then, I think I'd pay more for that, so any recommendations for a hotel with similar type room, price, pool & RS? Same area. Could be handy, I like Club Blu!

cunts raised the prices! now it's 700 baht for a standard room!

The 600 rate was a special rate they offered for a few months after they opened, it then went up to 800 during high season and was then lowered back to this rate the 1st of April. Did you think that the grand opening rate was forever?

Kerrati Home Stay is nearby. They are affiliated with the LK Hotel so you can use their pool and fitness room.

I just got back from my annual trip to Pattaya and stayed at Pasadena Lodge for about 16 days.

Would I recommend it? Yes indeed, but understand

-- What you see is exactly what you get; the site pictures are most accurate. It's a fairly new hotel. I stayed in a Deluxe room, but next time would probably downgrade only to Superior. Reason: Deluxe room size is fine, but not worth the extra 300 baht per day.

-- There is no pool, and no hotel provided breakfast. I don't really use either, so the lack of these "extras" played no part in my decision process. I don't bring a laptop with me, so lack of wi-fi wasn't an issue. Service staff was great. I was out of my room by about 11:30 each morning, and when I came back about 1:15 P.M. my room was always cleaned. (Another guy down the hall had a Do Not Disturb sign constantly out, and the service staff cleaned his room regularly at about 4 P.M.) The Front Desk staff was helpful too. On my last day there the taxi service I contracted with was a no show to get me to the airport. They called their taxi contact and 15 minutes later I was on my way to the airport (this was at 10 P.M., and the taxi rate was 1100 baht).

-- Is there still construction noise? Yes, BUT only occasionally now. Most of the "heavy" construction is done, so at maximum only maybe about 2 or 3 days out of the week would you hear any banging (for short periods of time only, say 10 minutes max). I'm a light sleeper, so I thought that this would be an issue for me, but it really wasn't.

-- Next time I would request a room not in the front streetside of the hotel. Reason: morning sun about 8 A.M. Thankfully I had one of those travel eye masks with me, so I could make things dark and get a couple more hours of sleep each morning.

If you like staying in the Soi Dianna Inn/Soi LK Metro/Areca Lodge area of town, I would happily recommend you consider staying at the Pasadena Lodge.
