It may have been just a simple bacterial infection (food poisoning) in either case the symptoms are the same so I am told.

Yeah, that's why I asked if it was really diagnosed. When you have that KIND of trouble, you don't really care the specifics. Most such are bacteria-caused but of course antibiotics won't work then.

Quite right but it doesn't stop the drug companies like those who make Loxinor or its replacement Cifloxin (think that's the right spelling). from stating it cures gastroenteritis and gonorrhea and etc etc .

Often gastroenteritus is linked to bacterial infections and named by symptoms not cause. This is true certainly of the NHS in the UK and below is a quote from their web site.

Gastroenteritis can be caused by a virus such as the norovirus, or by a number of different types of bacteria. Typically, bacterial gastroenteritis develops as a result of food poisoning.

That helps doesnt it?

Just to remind the boardies that this is the title of the thread.

Anyone else noticed a drop in food quality at PBG lately?

It was started in February 2011 and since then the kitchens and menu have been entirely renovated. Surely this is the time to draw a line under the thread before it become a discourse on medical problems that may or may not be caused wiith food issues.

I was just thinking that.... rather negative that a thread asking about the food at a particular establishment ends up waffling on like a doctor's convention.

As I mentioned, when I visited PBG a few weeks back, I didn't eat. But the service was excellent and business was doing very well.

I respect your opinion but there are a lot of forum members who like the food. BTW, I'm one of them.

friendly staff.

no probs with service, prices nor times.

no food related probs.

Thai food is sub par and western food similar to Denny's if that.

I know why it get revisited but the food is not why.

PS, have the fixed the death drop near the men's toilets yet?

Damn, this is bad news. Where am I going to eat next trip? Hope it gets sorted out before April - I know Pete would do it if he becomes informed by a disgruntled customer, so please, if you have been there recently and have a gripe, let him know... Ta.
