  1. Never has been to my recollection! It isn't John Lennon Airport mate.
  2. See if you can get involved in some sports... Golf is popular. Expats Club on Sunday morning is always looking for volunteers.... Pattaya City Expats Club probably is too. Good start to increase your social circle... Look at this old thread on Thai Visa
  3. And there is me thinking it is Italian.....or Cornish.
  4. Most of the workers are Indians, Pakistanis and Filipinos. More of a concern would be flying the National Carriers of countries involved in perceived anti-Islamic actions. Air France, US Carriers, El-Al, BA etc etc. More concerned that Emirates tickets are going to be more expensive due to a levy imposed to pay for new terminals and renovation in Dubai. These Middle East carriers may also become more expensive as oil revenues decline.
  5. Not quite on-topic but close. They may soon have more of your personal details to leak! (And use at their discretion too of course).. Thai Immigration Asks Foreigners for Bank Accounts, Social Media, Hangouts Khaosod
  6. Hayley Mills
  7. Alastair Sim
  8. I think that is about what it costs for a 5x50g pack at Thai duty free... might even be a bit less.
  9. I have had them sit in my 'Outbox' when using the phone though..... , also I often switch off Wi-Fi/ Network and then the email could be there some time unSent. As to getting lost...going straight into Spam is a possibility.
  10. I agree, we should start making asbestos roofs again too!
  11. Dudey, I have removed one of your 3 posts on this matter. I will leave the 2 others but may we keep the discussion within the other thread, specific to Nam's Service, here. Thanks.
  12. Yes, I should not have said 'they'.... Interesting how facilities are developing so far out of town.
  13. You should of course ask a lawyer, but I can understand you being wary of one. You can get free advice from one at one of the Expats Clubs in the Pattaya area. I would not trust her promise to pay back 'later'.......do you have any lien or ownership yourself or is it in her name? My first thought was you have got off relatively lightly and if you can afford to walk away from it, I would do that.
  14. Maybe some rain coming, one can but hope so!

  15. And further round just after where the 3240 takes a left and you carry on with the lake to your right, I believe they have built a large gym.
  16. I believe I am losing 0.5-1.0 cm each day from my pool due purely to evaporation and a few thirsty birds.
  17. Many a rumour of a guy with a spare set of keys going round to the hotel car park in the early hours years ago.
  18. Slippery buggers......
  19. One of the reasons I gave up doing Songkran was Thai gang fights occurring on Phratamnak near the Thrappaya junction. Big sticks of wood involved and nasty. A few years later I thought we had a corpse at the end of a street near where I live and nervously approached it wondering if I should get involved, just a passed out-drunk Thai kid up against the wall in the rain. It isn't all the serene pouring of water over the old-folks hands.
  20. Great fun as usual.
  21. Patton., shit used already, by ME! The Sting 2
  22. High temperatures forecast.... you may be glad of the water! Probably not though.

    1. TheFiend

      TheFiend

I know... I've been keeping an eye on the forecast for uttaradit and it's hitting 41 during this week

  23. You will also have to park a long way from the main building at say the BHP... probably in the multi-storey... so someone to drive and drop you would be better
  24. Well done....I actually drove past yesterday but was already hot and sticky and this weather takes it out of me. I would have been upset had I stopped and then been scooped by you.
  25. Well I have experienced that 3 seat configuration on other carriers, perhaps KLM, whose Biz service on to Manchester is rather poor too. I have also been sat in regular seats and the only differences noticeable are the service and the writing on the cloth stuck to the head rest. Yes I shall post some comments on my flight. As the outward hop is a daytime one I should have a better recollection of it than I do with the usual over-night trips via the Mid-East.
