  1. So there isn't really any point in this poll until we see the finished article. Personally, I think it's worth every penny I paid for it. Oh, wait...........................
  2. There's one on Soi Bukhao, if LK Metro was a square, it would be on the other long side. "Pattaya Beach Dental Clinic" I think. I haven't used them, so no recommendation.
  3. I've always used the 009 prefix, but this trip it doesn't seem to be cheap - around 20 Baht a minute as far as I can tell. Does anyone have any other options that might be cheaper? Thanks
  4. Statement of fact - "Big Brian" = "tall and fat Brian". Room is fine for me, typing from there now. WiFi - have just checked and am getting 13.99Meg. I don't get that at home.
  5. He's non-stop to Doha, then non-stop to LOS. So he has to change planes in Doha and the booze may be confiscated. Non-stop and direct are 2 different things - I found that one out the hard way. I'd agree with buying perfume in Doha though.
  6. Got one of theirs downstairs now. Good bike, well maintained - which makes a nice change from some. Had a puncture today, can't blame them for that though.
  7. Just spotted this in time, should make it later.
  8. That post is 2 years old. It's unlikely to still be available. joseph44 hasn't posted for over a year either.
  9. I'm probably larger than anyone here and the monthly rooms are fine for me. I've used a lot larger but didn't see the benefit.
  10. I've used half a dozen or so hotels in Pattaya. Tried the PBR 4 trips back and haven't used anywhere else since. Will be there for my next trip - so you can see what I think.
  11. 8,000 Baht. I'll take 8 BGs @ 1,000 Baht thanks.
  12. This one wasn't too bad as these programmes go. Didn't even touch on P4P as far as I saw. Full Moon looked even worse than I'd imagined.
  13. I was told once that the guy who runs the toilets behind Adam's Cherry Bar pays 24,000 Baht a month in rent and makes a good profit. Where there's muck, there's brass.
  14. I'm with them at Easter. Booked with Qantas, found out later that "flight operated by BA". Bugger. At least they say they will operate all long-haul flights regardless, they did last time, so here's hoping.
  15. Do you wear a tea-towel on you head by any chance?
  16. Golf tan - head, forearms and right hand tan only. My legs are in shade.
  17. She's had the op. Find one who hasn't, THAT'S brave.
  18. So basically the biggest criminal gang in the country hangs out nearby?
  19. Looks like a direct flight wins then. EVA is cheap at the moment - £535. My problem with them though is the timings for the return flight, leaving hotel at 07:30 (messing up the last night) and it gets into Heathrow too late for me to get home on public transport (which adds to the cost). Probably best to leave it a few weeks and see what comes up. Thanks for the replies. Oh, and Jacko; Amsterdam isn't in the middle east.
  20. About 10 years ago a - now deceased - Aussie mate and I had a "Cheap Charlie night". We didn't pay full price for a drink all night; happy hour 6-7 here, 7-8 there, 2 for 1 over there from 8-9, etc. It was planned like a military operation, down to the minute. Of course, the planning involved a lot of advance reconnoitring, which cost us a bloody fortune. Transport from one end of the town to the other a couple of times didn't help either. We had our "Cheap Charlie night" though.
  21. I'm looking at November flights. Normally I prefer to change planes in the middle east but, given the recent rash of uprisings in the Arab world, I'm a touch worried about booking a flight that changes there. That's worried about the flights happening, not personal safety. Many BMs have a lot more knowledge of that region than I do so, which countries are likely to best to change in?
  22. In the UK you can get them on ebay. Search for "handheld bidet" or "shattaf" (the Muslim word - they need them for ritual cleansing prior to prayer). Strangely, searching for "bum gun" doesn't work.
