They were willing to allow her to enter the UAE, on an Iranian Passport, but she had to depart within 96 hours... Obviously she didn't want to pay the cost of changing her return flight. Interesting that she holds an Iranian passport, despite being born in Sweden.....

Many years ago there was a reality TV series in the UK about Easyjet...... some travelers on that series on that program exhibited holier than thou attitudes if they turned up late for check-in or turned up without the right documents..... Plenty of Brits believe rules don't apply to them. A spin-off series was done in the U with Southwestern Airlines....

Visas don't give automatic right of entry..... the final decision is up to the Immigration Officer stamping the Passport... Bad idea to start arguing with an Immigration Officer anywhere in the world, and not just Dubai.

Considering the incident happened July 13th I'm surprised it took so long for the "news" to hit the British press...... It's good that the UAE authorities have now dropped all charges and allowed her to fly home..... Perhaps she will be more careful in future.

It's like after the Brexit vote.......Some Brexiteers claimed the big drop immediately after the result was only a temporary dip....... We're still waiting for the bounce back over 2 years later!!!!

Wrong, I haven't picked a side, just illustrating how the press sensationalise articles..... Notice how the fact that she is a Swedish national has been missed out on most of the articles. She made a big mistake in deciding to film the immigration official. If she had stayed calm she could have used the argument it was Emirates responsibility to fly them back to the UK as they allowed her to fly with an invalid visa. She wouldn't qualify for Visa on Arrival with a Swedish passport.

As always totally one sided reporting by the Daily Fail... She tried to enter Dubai without a valid visa so no doubt got snotty with the immigration official when refused entry and then started filming immigration official..... bad idea!!!

You obviously don't know Thai girls very well........ A little alcohol, a bit of Thai music, some dancing, some karaoke and Thai girls really know how to have fun.......save the pole dance for later on in the room and you would have much, much more fun...

In cattle class it's bad..... the seat pitch is so bad that if the person in front reclines it hits my knees..... even Mrs Fiend finds it cramped..... Put it this way she found flying on a 12 year old Qatar A340-600 a lot more enjoyable..... We've got A350 and A340 on our next trip!!!!

I've suffered the Nightmareliner on 5 trips from MAN....... so I'm ecstatic about the upgrade to the A350..... I've booked with Qatar for October, but flying the A350 from EDI..... was about £250 each cheaper flying from EDI and for me EDi is about the same distance as driving down to MAN.

More news.... 1st of June 2019 Qatar going 3x daily MAN-DOH

October 28th will see Qatar increasing Manchester to 18 flights a week and the A350 replacing the 787 Nightmareliner on the morning and afternoon flights....... the evening flight will remain as a Nightmateliner duty.... Yippee!!! Hopefully I've suffered my last Nightmareliner flight for a long time!!!!

I've arrived at Swampy to find both immigration areas with huge queues on more than one occasion. ,....... on one occasion we were told to use the priority immigration channel as my wife was Thai and they let us through no problem.

I've booked my next trip but sadly no option of A380 to BKK with Qatar, but I've managed to avoid the less comfortable 787 Nightmareliner and 777 flights...... I'm flying A350 EDI-DOH and A340-600 DOH-BKK
