One day later and I have to retract my post that they were finished with the Easy R-Con open sewer project. The workers are making a lifetime career out of this project, and giving us a lifetime worth of photo material.

Another BM was asking about the state of the debris clogged drain. Still clogged.

They have been fortunate that a ruddy great downpour hasn't been along while they are messing about with this.

While the covers are off a few Honda Waves could end up in there.

New name, new fortunes?

The previous Oasis GGB, corner of Bua Khao and Soi Pothole, renamed Serenity.

Easy R-Con open sewer project update. They're back...

Can't see the guy, but there's a third worker bee down there in the drain line hammering away with a jackhammer. Seems to me it would have been better to take care of clearing the drain lines when the road was tore up, but then again, I'm not Thai so what do I know.

In the 3rd picture "Mr white hat" monitoring the concrete pour seems quite happy that the secondary hand held trough is being held at the wrong angle such that the "mix" will seperate. Also there seems to be no evidence of what I call a "scoodger" in between the rebars to give the "mix" the right consistency....If he was working for me I would certainly be asking him to explain or dig it up and start again .All at his own cost.

Pics of a couple of construction sites around Pattaya.

Retaining walls going in at the Buakhao/Soi 15 construction site.

Site on 3rd Rd near Klang is now up to six floors.

Google Translate couldn't make much sense of the Thai sign at the construction site, but according to my TGF's translation the building is for some sort of business.

Almost got taken out after taking the pic of the construction site on 3rd Rd. And pretty sure it wasn't you, unless you were wearing long hair and lipstick.

I was on my pushbike next to a car that was going in the same direction as me. The stupid cunt then made a sudden swerve into my lane to avoid a steel plate covering a hole in the street. It was perfectly safe for a car to drive over, even had tarmac around the edges to hold the steel in place. And it's not like it was the first one she would have encountered traveling on 3rd Rd during the construction. There was no reason she had to make that sudden move. Fortunately I had enough space and a reaction time fast enough to avoid the sideswipe.

You are a braver man than I to ride a push bike on a Pattaya road. Hell I often dont feel safe in a car.

It is likely even more noticeable at weekends when we have quite a lot of Bangkok drivers around. They push and squeeze and do not give much clearance.

A large Christmas tree going up at Bali Hai Pier for the Countdown Festival.

The repairs on the walkway didn't last long. No surprise either as when I rode over the replacement boards with my mtn bike they rumbled and clattered like they were never nailed down.

They must have stretched the budget on those stairs.

Great pics FBWU, thanks for the post.

No doubt this is a temporary market next to Nirun judging by thin layer of concrete with no rebar reinforcing.

bloody hell they haven't even shuttered off the edges. That'll be broken to bits after a bit of rain and foot traffic.

Yes, there will be lumps of concrete for my bike to bump over from it very soon. We won't be getting rain, but there will certainly be foot traffic. What sort of market will it be, a dry or wet one?

That looks really thin. It won't last long.

I imagine the concrete pad won't survive the first trucks that drive on it to deliver tables, shelves and cooking stoves.
