As part of starting worldwide passenger flights Etihad will commence  limited passenger services to the UK from 22nd April

Manchester 1 flight daily

London Heathrow 2 flights daily

There is a very slight hint of financial optimism in the Markets today and the likes of Etihad giving an indication of a limited restart is encouraging

There were reports yesterday from Australia Spain Italy Germany France that the infection curve was starting to flatten. Clearly thats moved over to the financial markets as all Indicies are well up overnight with ASX up over 4.5% currently but all the rest well up as well at time of post

Am guessing others have read it about Easyjet with Stelios wanted to sack the Chief Finance Officer after he revealed they'll be bankrupt by August

Didn't Easyjet just pay out over £120 million to share holders in the past 2 weeks, of which Stelios claimed £50 million for himself!!!

I did read an article that said Emirates and etihad can fly to some destinations. But they cant have passengers transit through there hubs.

Yes Stelios had £56 million because he owned that percentage of the company but he has been pumping millions of his own money into revolving credit facility these last few weeks

They need to get back into the air from around May 12th to avoid catastrophic meltdowns. Surprisingly their shares were up 17% yesterday but they had tumbled a long long way. If you think we are going to get Covid under control then its a cracking recovery play

LHR 2 daily 787-9

Manchester 1 daily 787-9

Not really full passenger services is it? Weren't there at least 2, possibly 3, Etihad flights per day from Manchester?

Yes Ethihad had 3 flights daily same as emirates and Qatar  and Oman air one flight

Etihad previously operated 2 daily flights from MAN to AUH.

Etihad's new M.O. using a network of Covid testing clinics for pre flying tests seems like a good way forward for other nations currently 'stuttering' over the resumption of travel
