Australia seems to follow whatever Trump does, and we are in deep shit with the current government. A weak dollar is great for exports, but as for exporting me, it is horrible.... WE ARE going up (against the US Dollar), but only because that is going down.

Very sensible Regyai; the 2 I went to obviously didn't have that facility. It must add quite an expense to the restaurant, but would bring in more customers.

I love this idea and applaud the designers. I worry that pretty soon, it could be covered in garbage thrown from the Chinese tour buses that will ply the attraction. Additionally, my gyro has usually toppled fairly early in the day and I have no idea where north is. Thank goodness for the GPS in my phone....

I have only been to two Korean BBQ places and, in each, the Air-con was not up to scratch and I sweated profusely throughout the meal, as the heat from all the stoves rose into the air. Swore not to ever go back. However, if I can have a girl cook my dinner at the table (both times I went, I had to cook my own) and the air con is very efficient, then I may make an exception in April when I again arrive in Patts (maybe).

Yeah, keep your mouth closed if you want to take the chance.... I went swimming just down the coast from Pattaya once, and immediately almost ingested a used condom, tied up at the neck. Never again! Don't worry too much Mate. Some of my better friends in Australia (and overseas)speak much the same language, and I hardly ever know what they are saying. I just smile and agree.... Maybe that is why they are still friends.

I was living in Perth (Western Australia) in around 2003, when a well known brothel on William Street closed its doors (right next door to a Muslim mosque). On the door was a sign posted that read: WE'RE CLOSED, BEAT IT!

I think that BarFAX was better, and probably more relevant(although maybe not in this thread).

I just keep a few beers, a bottle of Scotch, a couple of small bottles of Gatorade/Red Bull (or similar)and a cylinder of Berocca. I just rely on the bottled water for my Scotch - don't touch the stuff otherwise....

I was in the Australian Navy in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and whenever we came into a few more notorious ports, Thailand ports not being included, we were provided a list of 'establishments we were barred from. That list became the first bars we visited, as we knew what we wanted. In those days, nobody was charged for doing so, but bad cases of VD were seen as being 'your own fault'. The Navy has now changed and cannot be as good as it was for me.

Same as used cars advertised in newspapers. When you turn up at the dealer: "Oh that one has gone, but we have another similar one that is only $2000.00 more".

I had heard it was closing on 30 September this year, but have since heard that it may stay open until 31 December. If it is actually open or not, I cannot say.
