  1. Fantastic. As with others, I have walked past this place many times, but was a bit cautious as to its quality. Thanks for doing the "testing" for me, as I will visit it for a meal.
  2. This is by far NOT the cheapest dentist in Pattaya, but it is a good one. I think you can find prices for procedures (including whitening) on many sites. Have a look here and compare: http://www.dentistbeach.com/
  3. Yep, great start to each month. Thanks!
  4. I think you have added a few zeros into your figures above, Chang-parp.
  5. That would very well be it. The plastic chairs seem the same. I have only been there in the dark
  6. Yes, my girl and I have eaten there a couple of times - good cheap seafood and cheap cold beer. There are plenty of fans over most tables.
  7. I have stayed there, but not for over 6 years. I think ownership has changed a couple of times since then. When I stayed there it was quite noisy at night, but not from disco's/go-gos, but from the long-time residents (or particularly one of them) who loved to play his CDs very loudly (and usually repetitively) all bloody night when he was on a "melancholy" bender. Maybe it was just that time I stayed there, but I didn't take the risk again. Food was good, the bar was not closed in or air-conditioned then, and I enjoyed the location. I definitely would prefer staying at the Metro Apartments, and I did next visit, but the stairs don't agree with my buggered knees.
  8. Thanks again for my morning light relief - it helps me get through the day in freezing, wintery W.E. Australia. Edit: Oops, S.E. Australia.
  9. You can get a great room at Changthong House on Soi Diana for about 900 Baht per night, including an adequate breakfast. No pool, but good elevators and good staff. Cherry (on reception) speaks reasonable English and is a good help in everything. Laundry costs are reasonable. They have no website, but this link is still very relevant for information: http://pattayabound.blogspot.com.au/2011/05/changthong-house-hotel-soi-diana.html Telephone: 038-421334, or 038-410907. Email: changthong_house@hotmail.com
  10. Ah well, it has taken some time but, as I said back in Post #2, "Thanks Saa. Now we await the critics.... :sosad". They may very well be here now. I reckon that if you are worried about the bar, don't go there or, better still, just drop in and meet Saa, see the girls and make up your own minds. A photo or two of the girls may satisfy the fantasies of a few guys currently outside LOS but, as Martin said, they will soon change to others.
  11. The video doesn't work in Australia either, but no worries, I'm sure we'll see plenty of other crap about all this.
  12. Thanks again, Evil. Looks pretty good.
  13. Good effort - always entertaining.
  14. Thanks for your reply to Saa, Martin. I was a bit taken aback at the inference that I was gay - hasn't happened before. I now will be permanently traumatised and will fall into a curled up prone position on the floor every time I hear the word, "spunky".
  15. Well, Sa, there are quite a few different interpretations of what "spunky" might mean, as there are at least 3 different ideas as to what "spunk" might be. In Australia, the word "spunky", when referring to a girl, would mean that she was quite sexually attractive. I was referring to that interpretation.
  16. Thanks Saa. Now we await the critics.... (By the way, I think I have only ever been into Spanky's once, and that was because I thought it was Spunky's)
  17. Good on you, Mate. Keep up the good work (both yourself and Ouy).
  18. Can't believe that picture on the wall in the spare bedroom is still doing the rounds. I bought one exactly the same in the early 1970s and I still have it hanging in a room somewhere (I think in my flat out the back).
  19. Just back from LOS, wishing I wasn't. Was bloody hot in Sisaket, but freezing my arse off in NSW, Australia. Can't wait to get back....
  20. Love it! I too enjoy a reading-fest while wandering around the city.
  21. I took a friend along to share a meal in your restaurant on (about) 27th or 28th April, when in Pattaya. Once again I need to say the special chicken curry that was provided was sensational. Thank you for another enjoyable meal and really cold beer.

    Tennis racket

Oh, okay, but as a high school teacher (English and History) I was taught "racquet" and have always taught the same. I see you used wikipedia, which is really an American spelling tome, and isn't always really correct, English-wise, but I take your point. I guess it may have came about due to the great vowel change in England occurring after the emigrants had wandered across the Atlantic - a bit like where Yanks call pigs hogs, and hogs being the older term.
  23. Not that too many will be interested, but I'm flying Thai and wheels up from Sydney tomorrow morning, 10.00 AEST - wheels down (hopefully) 16.30 at Swampy. So bloody wet and cold here at the moment, so really looking forward to the heat. Off to Kanchanaburi the next day, after a quick personal service in Sukhumvit tomorrow night, for ANZAC Day services. Back in Patts on 27th, along with 3 mates. Hope I run into a few boarders.

    Tennis racket

I thought the above was about a scam involving tennis. Is "racket" the American way of spelling "racquet"?
