  1. Good stuff, Rhino. I haven't been in Chiang Mai for a few years, so will look forward to any more info to spice a revisit. Thanks. (My girl in Sisaket only asked me a couple of days ago, if we might visit there next year).
  2. Good review again. I certainly wondered what this place was like, after seeing what it was intended to be, and so, am very happy to visit there on my next trip. It won't be until after Anzac Day in April, as I am spending a week out in Sisakit in 2 weeks or so....
  3. Some great feedback there. Looking forward to trying the Balcony out, but will also steer clear of the T-bone.
  4. Yes, congratulations, Mate. Wish I was there to celebrate, and I'm sure the night will go off fantastically.
  5. For me, it depends on the season and the 'crisis' situation, whatever that may be. Sometimes I have found that if there is a dearth of tourists I can get a better deal by speaking with the Hotel directly than I can on Agoda (or other booking site). Other times, the booking agency can get me a better deal than I can negotiate directly. If I can be bothered, I will try both avenues and pick the best option.
  6. It is quite remiss of me, but I forgot to make comment on my visit to this restaurant in early May. My TGF and I (along with 2 other friends) dropped in one evening and had dinner. Have to say we all enjoyed it and, although I cannot recall what we ate, we had a fair selection between us all, and all walked out full and happy. Thanks to all the staff who were very pleasant and helpful.
  7. Thanks again, Evil. I have also walked past this place a few times, but never dropped in. I have a Greek brother-in-law who would love to visit there, so next time he is in Patts, I'll be sure to take him there, at your advice.
  8. I should have added, Link to Charlie House: http://www.charliehousepinklao.com/en/ Try to contact both Pong Phen and Charlie House directly rather than booking through agency, and ask for best price - sometimes can get a better deal.
  9. In Kanchanaburi, stay at the Pong Phen Guesthouse - Google it or check out on Facebook - fantastic accommodation, food and service, and right in the heart of things. You can book for all the tourist traps right there, but may get them cheaper at some of the booking places within a hundred metres of the guesthouse. The Tiger Temple, Hellfire Pass, the Bridge over the River Kwai, Erawan Falls, a ride along the famous Burma railway in the train are all within easy reach. In Bangkok, there are literally hundreds and hundreds of place to see and to stay (some good ones above), but if you'd like
  10. Any cream works okay - just smear it on your cock and start pumping it for awhile....
  11. Thanks for that. Yes, it is a great way to cook and eat. Called Moo Kata (or Krata), there used to be plenty of them in Bangkok, but are getting harder to find. There are still a few around Pattaya, but I haven't been to one for some years. The juices from the meats run down into the 'soup' that the vegetables and noodles are cooked in, giving a wonderful flavour. Here is a link to Youtube that shows the method:
  12. The bacon on the burger made it work for me - looks fantastic.
  13. Well done - my observations of other 'galleries' have shown that most of the participants spraying water everywhere have been Farangs, but yours show many more Thais having fun. Nice!
  14. Good to hear. I WILL make it a priority to visit in about a month.
  15. Thanks, Mate. I really don't know exactly where it is, but just thought it might be worth a visit, if I can find it....
  16. Hmm, I guess that seeing there are dozens (or more) pretty good seafood restaurants in Ang Si La and up the beach to Bang Saen, this one wouldn't be noticed unless it was huge. It was just a 'hoping' post. Thanks for looking.
  17. An associate mentioned this place as a very popular (and booming) seafood restaurant for Thai people and, as he isn't always reliable with information, I am wondering if anybody on here has tried it, or has any further info on its value.
  18. A great gesture - hope they are all fighting fit when they return.
  19. Thanks, Evil. I'm often a bit hungry by the time I get to the bottom of Soi 6....
  20. It's been posted before, but here is an Irish Rovers' breakfast. Eat it all, have it for free!
  21. Hope you sort it all out to your benefit. There may be a few lessons here for all of us, but we'll see.
