Yep. I had a look at his site and there it is - Drinking Street. Reckon it might be time for a visit there.

I flew Emirates return Sydney/Bangkok in April (for the first time) and, except for arriving at 1.15am - which might not suit some, I love them. Now, I realise it is only about a nine hour flight and I haven't flown further with them, I enjoy their service, food and particularly the range in the entertainment system. The aircraft have been 777s, and the return to Sydney seems to almost always be virtually empty, so plenty of room to lie down in Economy class. I have never flown Etihad, but only because their flights are way dearer on the Aussie/Bangers leg.

My girl and I ate there last Sunday evening. We both enjoyed our meals and, particularly, as we were lucky enough to get a table furthermost out in the bay, and on a corner, it was a fairly romantic dinner (or as much as can be expected with a bar girl. I am happy to say that the meals are back to what they used to be prior to my last visit to LOS. Well done, Pete!

As somebody else said earlier, buy a cover for it, but buy the Amazon one. It has a light that is powered by the Kindle and makes reading in bed with the bedroom light off possible. I know that most of you probably have other things to do when the light is off, but it is a great asset when the time requires it.

As I am arriving in a week, that is so good to hear. Last time I was over I experienced a sad downturn in quality and the time it took to get an order. I expected Pete to do something to improve it as there were quite a number of others who were saddened by the 'lapse', and it certainly sounds as if I can happily eat there again.

I adore the peaty flavour of Laphroaig (10 y.o.), but often have to settle on Glenlivet. Ah well, they are both okay, and I enjoy them. However, if you are having it with anything other than ice, then buy the cheapest crap you can find.

Listened to it all the way through - hoped it would get funny - but it didn't.

I've used Webjet many times for both Australian domestic and for international flights - no problems. However, lately, and for my next flight to Thailand (next month) I have utilised Zuji and got a better price. It certainly pays to look at both companies.

Were you stoned when you wrote that response, pattaya_mad? F'n Hell!

'She' certainly has pretty hairy arms and legs, but hey, each to his own...

Anyone else noticed a drop in food quality at PBG lately?
yorta2 replied to frostfire's topic in Restaurants and food
Damn, this is bad news. Where am I going to eat next trip? Hope it gets sorted out before April - I know Pete would do it if he becomes informed by a disgruntled customer, so please, if you have been there recently and have a gripe, let him know... Ta. -
A few dental questions
yorta2 replied to rabbitoh's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
I have also been told that this one is pretty good too, but haven't personally used them yet - will be getting teeth whitened next trip (and not the way most of you on here whiten your TGF's teeth, either ): http://www.dentaldepattaya.com/dentalteam.htm -
Hmm, Sorry Mate, but that would drive me batty - too long and too much for a tired traveller who needs a rest (although I also may be a bit too old for that sort of music).

Have you had your toes nibbled?
yorta2 replied to gimmble's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
It costs nothing to have the whole body nibbled if you visit Erawan Falls up in Kanchanaburi. All the beautiful cool pools up there at the bottom of each fall are filled with fish that nibble all your bits - be careful about your nipples - not the most fantastic bit to have chewed. However, if you just sit on the side of a pool and dangle your feet in the fish clean them up nicely and pleasantly. -
I was under the belief that all cigarettes now (legally) sold in Thailand are made in Thailand, regardless of the labels. I'm not a smoker, so would like to know if that is true.

Thanks for that. Can you get dolphin sandwiches?

Well, I don't think that 'barfining' is like signing a contract, but as he probably is paying her on a daily basis as well, then I guess she is in a contractual arrangement, and I shouldn't jeopardise that - I certainly wouldn't want someone else to interfere in any 'contract' I had. However, upon saying that, it still would be fun, and I'd probably take it up and be a low bastard.

Be careful when wandering around those dark Sois late at night in Pattaya. I would be! How many of these monsters are out there? Re: Bangkokians told to brace for floods, Bangkok Tourists warned to avoid Thailand's flood zones Plus, an update on those opportunistic crocodiles that escaped from a Pattaya zoo 16 September, 2011 As flooding continues to wreak havoc in Thailand, tourists are being warned to stay away from the country’s worst-hit areas and avoid activities like white-water rafting and visits to waterfalls. Thaitravelblogs.com posted a statement from Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) stating that flash floods and landslide warnings have been issued for 12 provinces: Satun, Trang, Songkhla, Krabi, Chumphon, Chanthaburi, Trat, Phetchabun, Phitsanulok, Uttaradit, Nan, and Mae Hong Son. “For tourist safety, access to waterfalls and white-water rafting in flood-prone areas has been temporarily suspended,” TAT warned. Meanwhile, Bangkok has been warned to brace for floods around the Chao Phraya River as runoff water is expected to reach the city by early next week. For more on local conditions, tourists can call the TAT Information Line at 1672. In related news, the floods brought short-lived freedom to an unknown number of opportunistic Pattaya crocodiles. The reptiles reportedly made a break for it when heavy flooding caused the soil to erode near their pool, creating a hole under the wall at the Million Year Stone Park. According to the Bangkok Post, hunters had caught at least 29 of the escaped reptiles as of Thursday, many of them four to five meters in length. No word on how many crocs are still at large, though the farm says it will pay 5,000 baht to people who provide information leading to each capture.

He he he - you might be right there. An interesting bar with some very pretty boys.... Once again to each his own.

To each his own. I used to frequent Robin's Nestaurant for breakfast, but found the Butcher's Arms (Soi Bukhaou) and went there a few times on my last visit. It's quiet, the meal is fantastic, and the service very good. Others prefer CD's.

Wow, what can I say? Just keep dry and enjoy the excitement, I reckon.

Really enjoyed the pics - brought back some 'repressed' memories . I have to say that the Chung Kai cemetery building hasn't changed at all (except for some of the plants ) Most traffic zooms straight past that huge and lovely temple in Nakhon Pathom nowadays, without even knowing it is there - well worth a visit, I reckon.

Would you bring your uk girlfriend to pattaya
yorta2 replied to aarmitage9's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I would also say "NO". However, if you want some advice, ask her Dad - he will surely give you some! -
Save a lot of money - shop at the Coconut Bar....
