Coming from USA to Pattaya? A big favor...

If you could pick up some Peppermint Altoids to bring to Pattaya, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm attaching a picture of the packaging below.

Usually Costco, Sam's, Walmart, and Amazon carry them in a 6 or 12 pack, which is what I would like to get...preferably 12 tins at least.

This is the 12 pack version...

Please make sure they are Peppermint 1.76oz tins...no other flavor or size will do.

They aren't available here in LOS, and I'm rather fond of them.

I'll come to pick them up or meet you where you want. Of course, I'll pay you for them as well.

If you can't do this, no problem...

Thanks...send me a PM or reply here if you are up for it.

I'm not out again until May, Martin, but if you're still struggling then, give me a shout.

I'm just wondering if it's the mints or the tins you want........................................

I won't be back in the States until June, but I have a friend who's heading over in a couple of weeks and I'll ask him to try to get them. Just one thing - Altoids weren't easy to find in stores in the NYC area, ditto Orlando, Florida. It might be easiest to order them via the Net.

Ha Ha Ha - Apparently they don't work:

Perhaps a Victory-V would work better?

I find the Wintergreen flavor preferable for a mentholated BJ. :bj1

Since we don't have taste buds down there . . . Just saying.

I was wondering the other day what things Americans miss living here!

Apart from ginger preserve and ginger wine for my Christmas mulled wine I can get just about everything here ...... even curry.

So what do all you Americans pine for and can't get here for love or money?

Leaving off things like Mexican food and American beef, which doesn't travel well, I miss

  • Peppermint Altoids
  • Crest regular toothpaste
  • Camel non-filtered cigarettes (yes, Sailfast, I still smoke)

My needs are not great.

It is strange that you can't find Crest - the supermarkets in Pattaya seem full of international brands.

Even with the long traveling time from the US I would have thought a BIG slab of frozen beef wrapped in a thick layer of old newspapers (or better more high-tech analogues) would still be frozen upon arrival

umm got me thinking now, there not for that purpose are they MM?

No, though I have used them while eating pussy with mixed results. The vast majority are simply pleasant breath fresheners. Frequently, I'll pass them over to a girl who's just eaten some garlic to be able to continue our otherwise pleasant encounter...works wonders, and they always like them.

I am intrigued by some of the uses for the tins (which I've been throwing away) shown in keyman's link...especially the portable fireball shooter for getting the attention of lazy service staff who won't come get my bin when I'm ready to leave.

If that large toggle switch is all that it takes to operate it, better not be kept in a pocket.

I can imagine some guy pulling that toy out at his favorite bar to impress the ladies and end up setting his crotch on fire.

Many thanks to several board members who have heeded the call.

It looks like I will soon have a supply of Altoids to last me to the summer at least....

Cheers.

Closing the thread lest anyone else decide to bring any.
