I decided that it was time to replace the front tyre on my bike.... a slight skid the other day helped me decide.

So they just fitted the new one at the shop nearby to me, and had inflated it, rock hard like they do here.

So I play the smart-ass know all falang and go under my seat and produce a tyre pressure gauge and proceed to check it.... it blew the device into about 6 pieces. Yep... too high I declared, lucky to still have 2 eyes.

Didn't the forum software used to automatically resize pictures?

Anyhow, panic in the morning, snake spotted in the garden... she is terrified of them.

Of course nowhere to be seen when I get out there... plenty of places to hide.

Now she worries who will catch them while I am away. (Not that I catch that many of them, faster and more flexible than I am.)

Sitting in the early morning sun on my balcony overlooking the sea about 20 K south of Pattaya, musing life's pretty good. I do make a few trips into Pattaya or Jomtien each week, usually rather short, but enough to relief any built up stress and buy fresh coffe beans for my old Saeco.

Wonderful machines, I agree with MM.

In fact, I got 2, one from 2000, bought in Switzerland, only used for personal use except a six month stint in a friends pizza shop, and a 2002 model I inherited from an okd mate who used to have a bar and BG accomodation on Buakhao market.

He left it to me, after unfortunaly expiring from cancer of the aesophagus a few years ago, a result he claimed of too many visits to establisments like Windmill giving him HPV.

The second machine looks worse for wear, but is handy as a temporary back up when my first one goes for service in the same establishment MM uses, once a year for service.

Thus allowing me to avoid that dreadful fate of having to drink crappy instant coffee.....

As for Nespresso machines, don't mention that abomination and the word coffee in the same sentence....

Just about got everything sorted for my Monday morning departure for Paradise and Sin City.

Global warming, what a load of bollocks.

Now come on Jacko, it's not that cold and I'm a bit further north than you!!!

Global warming, what a load of bollocks.

I returned to my house in England late on Tuesday and I agree with Jacko it is bloody freezing. Roi-Et where I normally live had been up around 40c and England 12c. A drop of 28 degrees takes a while to acclimatise.

Posted from my phone using predictive text, please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors.

Just back from a long grueiling drive from Thapprasit to Naklua Bon Cafe to get my Saeco repaired for the same problem it had last month.

Well, they made a dozen or more cups of coffee and the problem, of course, did not appear except one time. "A ha!" I exclaimed while the attendant looked askance at the machine..

She did a little jiggle and shake with the water reservoir that made the red light go out and proceeded to make a dozen more cups of coffee.

I, of course, was ready to demand (politely while smiling) that they fix whatever caused it, but my missus piped up and said "I know what to do", figuring she could jiggle and shake as well as the attendant. I think it was female jealousy rather than practical thinking, but I had to give in, and we brought the thing home with the daignosis NTF (No Trouble Found) and the pronouncement from the two of them that "It's just old".

Now, I'm having my first non-instant coffee in two weeks at home, so until it goes on the fritz again, everything is cool.

I was born and raised not far south of you near Van Wert. Cold in the winter, hot in the summer with swarms of mosquitoes. I'll just stay in Thailand.

You got the balmy gulf stream!

Actually it was cool but clear and sunny when I landed, and the first day quite mild. but it got windy and cooler. Plus I seem to have picked up a cold or flu, ache everywhere. Think I picked it up visiting a pal at the hospital... contagious places hospitals, last place you should be going when sick!

Only dick heads wear shorts where I come from! They are hardier around Newcastle where jackets are unheard of!

Cumbrians are a hardier lot too.... Even with six inches of snow on the pavements I've seen lasses out in boob tubes and mini-skirts!!

This time tomorrow I'll be on my way down to Manchester airport, bound for Thailand. Bags are just about packed, so today I'll be checking everything is sorted before we leave. My 3 cats need to be dropped off for their holiday at a local cattery, and Mrs Fiend wants to buy some chocolate/sweets for her nephews so that means a trip into town as well.

I'll be spending the first 3 nights of this trip in Sin City and I see that Adam has organised a LK Metro GoGo Bar crawl on Wednesday so I'll make an appearance on that I think. Any body else going? Also thinking of doing Walking Street on Thursday so is anybody up for a crawl on Thursday?
