  1. If Pattaya is all blah blah blah to you, you won't really care, and will find what you want, when you want....
  2. Just puttin' it out there:
  3. Pattaya hosts a Rugby 10s competition held every year around there first weekend in May, in memory of Chris Kays, who was the Pattaya Panthers captain and was killed in the Bali Bombing. See here: http://www.pattayamail.com/pattayasports/pattaya-rugby-10s-tournament-goes-from-strength-to-strength-3180
  4. I didn't know there were any sports played in Malta, except those down in 'The Gut'.... I never got out of there (until my ship was sailing).
  5. It is great that she is getting plenty of business. Our praise of her service has probably assisted that, and even though some may even want to jealously guard her business as THE one we want to use, I feel happy that she is doing so well. Well done ikkrang for your strong support of (and for) her.
  6. I hate it when someone copies the exact same post into two different threads. As a person who selects 'View New Content' each time I enter the site, I get to see both of these posts, often not realising they are the one and the same. It's a Bugger!
  7. Definitely changed in NSW, but I haven't got a bar, so still tow friend's cars with a rope, but very late at night (or actually early in the morning).
  8. mike_asia, did you read my post (#75)? She does provide a phone number when the bookings is confirmed.
  9. Sorry to hear that, but I'm not sure that you did indeed get confirmation of the booking. Her website makes the statement: "Once your booking has been confirmed, you will receive an email from me confirming the booking and my phone number and Line ID. For airport bookings I will also need your Flight number, arrival time, date." Did that happen? If so, didn't you get her phone number in that confirmation email?
  10. It all looks great and I particularly like the idea of the avocado served like that. However I don't know about the pork saltimbocca - I think I'd prefer the traditional veal dish with prosciutto instead of the ham (ham on pork doesn't sound as good). Also, the traditional sage really adds to the flavour. I am not putting the dis down, just stating my preferences.
  11. Yes, I like Cha Am, but it is a bit boring and you really need a motorbike to get back to Hua Hin for some laid back excitement. I won't ride because I'm usually over the alcohol limit, so refer to stay in Hua Hin. Jing's Guesthouse (the Fenny Foo's Mews units) are great value and very close to the action, and I love the fresh squid that comes in on the boats each morning, and is available in most restaurants - the squid pizzas are delicious.
  12. Another lovely slip: thanks for the laugh. "they do special officers" - I couldn't help wondering what officers you mean....police? military? government?
  13. Well thanks for that last post LBJ, but I still have no idea how a "goat rope" has been described in the flight that Ballbag took. Oh well, it definitely isn't an Australian military term (I think I've heard them all). And also, LBJ, in Post 13, doesn't the term SNAFU more suitably fit your definition in that post.
  14. Best wishes for your wedding. Plenty of rats and dirty beach areas to have a wedding at, so good luck with that too. For me, I would go further south, but yours will not be the first to make their vows in Pattaya - some members here have.
  15. Ha Ha! I wasn't taking the piss out of the language difficulty, but I was amused at the way the English written language was adapted. My written Thai is pretty rough - in fact appalling, but my Thai girl seems to be able to sort it out. Evil's use of "terra cotta" was also amusing in his post on the Deli Diner: "I finished the meal with panna cotta with strawberry sauce. I had actually wanted the creme caramel, but the waitress told me the last one had "broken apart." I don't know if that meant she'd dropped it on the floor or something else had gone wrong with it, but the terra cotta
  16. Yeah, looks great. I think I'll try the StirLion.
  17. Or even me, coming out of Sabai Dee with wobbly knees....
  18. Well, it is a beachside holiday resort town. What do you expect?
  19. But does he want the cheapest? I have no idea of the quality, but it is all in what the punter wants, isn't it?
  20. I thought you said, "enough said", or was it "enougj said"?
  21. Welcome. I think that seeing that was your first post, you should do a lot more reading on this site before asking too many questions. Most of the "rip-offs" that you have incurred are probably because you have visited without a "Wingman" to guide you, and really have no idea of what you are doing or what to expect. Find someone who will help you around - they shouldn't be too hard to find, but beware of taking advice from just anybody, because there are a few charlatans out there. Good luck.
