I took a friend along to share a meal in your restaurant on (about) 27th or 28th April, when in Pattaya. Once again I need to say the special chicken curry that was provided was sensational. Thank you for another enjoyable meal and really cold beer.

Oh, okay, but as a high school teacher (English and History) I was taught "racquet" and have always taught the same. I see you used wikipedia, which is really an American spelling tome, and isn't always really correct, English-wise, but I take your point. I guess it may have came about due to the great vowel change in England occurring after the emigrants had wandered across the Atlantic - a bit like where Yanks call pigs hogs, and hogs being the older term.

Not that too many will be interested, but I'm flying Thai and wheels up from Sydney tomorrow morning, 10.00 AEST - wheels down (hopefully) 16.30 at Swampy. So bloody wet and cold here at the moment, so really looking forward to the heat. Off to Kanchanaburi the next day, after a quick personal service in Sukhumvit tomorrow night, for ANZAC Day services. Back in Patts on 27th, along with 3 mates. Hope I run into a few boarders.

I thought the above was about a scam involving tennis. Is "racket" the American way of spelling "racquet"?

Nitrous Oxide for dental treatment

Sorry englishinsiam, but couldn't help this: My wife had her teeth whitened this morning, but to be honest, most went onto her chin.... -
HOW TO WRITE GOOD Frank L. Visco My several years in the word game have learnt me several rules: 1. Avoid alliteration. Always. 2. Prepositions are not words to end sentences with. 3. Avoid clichés like the plague. (They're old hat.) 4. Employ the vernacular. 5. Eschew ampersands & abbreviations, etc. 6. Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are unnecessary. 7. It is wrong to ever split an infinitive. 8. Contractions aren't necessary. 9. Foreign words and phrases are not apropos. 10. One should never generalize. 11. Eliminate quotations. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said: “I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.” 12. Comparisons are as bad as cliches. 13. Don't be redundant; don't more use words than necessary; it's highly superfluous. 14. Profanity sucks. 15. Be more or less specific. 16. Understatement is always best. 17. Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement. 18. One-word sentences? Eliminate. 19. Analogies in writing are like feathers on a snake. 20. The passive voice is to be avoided. 21. Go around the barn at high noon to avoid colloquialisms. 22. Even if a mixed metaphor sings, it should be derailed. 23. Who needs rhetorical questions?

I stay at Jings (and I was sure there was another recent thread on this exact topic, but it seems to have disappeared). Jings is a Guesthouse, but the Fenny Foo's Mews are great rooms and it is a fantastic central place to stay: http://www.jings.in.th/

Shouldn't this go the way of the buggy whip?

Great shot, Joe - he caught the mood beautifully. -
Yep, wish this had come at another time too. I am flying both ways from Aust to LOS in just less than 3 weeks. Gives me something to think about, or means that I will have to board a little more pissed than normal. Oh well, we all have to put up with shit sometime.

Ibis Hotel on Soi 1 near 2nd Road
yorta2 replied to 4wheels's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I agree with BeeryBelly. I have stayed in a couple of Ibis hotels in Australia and the bathrooms have been drop in modules that are quite 'squeezy', while the bedrooms are way too tiny for me. That is why I have never stayed in one in LOS. -
With the habits that Chinese tourists seems to have around Pattaya, I wonder if they shit in the cockpits of their aircraft...?

Glad to hear your TGF is okay. Hope she recovers well.

I often get the 7-11 girl to put my credit into the phone, and I have no qualms about it. I don't do it at a busy time, and I do give her a good tip for the effort.

Thanks, Mate. Brings Pattaya a bit closer, although I will be there in a few weeks. Woo Hoo! -
Thanks again. Still quite humourous.

Pity I won't be there until late next month. So looking forward to getting my teeth into some more of your great tucker!

The Air Asia ASEAN Pass Offers One Month of Flying for $160
yorta2 replied to 4wheels's topic in Airline Discussion
I think you are correct on both issues (above) 4 Wheels. I did notice (later) this statement above the schedule : "Here's a complete list of credit amounts for routes that are redeemable with AirAsia Asean Pass (also applicable for return journey):" So, yes, you could get out of Cambodia by returning to Bangkok, but only once using that route. -
The Air Asia ASEAN Pass Offers One Month of Flying for $160
yorta2 replied to 4wheels's topic in Airline Discussion
Hmm, Just for interest, I see you can travel from Bangkok to Siem Reap (or Phnom Penh) but there is no way you can get back from, or even out of, Cambodia. There are no flights FROM Cambodia listed in the schedule. WTF? -
That last dish looks great.

Try changing the "so/" in the address above to "to/". I think that may be the problem.
