bangkok airport tonight

They do focus on the most ill-prepared, impoverished, drunken idiots in Thailand mind you.

I now have a VPN so I can watch BBC iPlayer. The back episodes were freely available on a few of the web services.

Frankly after 5 of them I can't see them getting much different.

Suvarnabhumi airport. One of the worst airports I have ever seen in regards to toilets, or the lack of them. If you think about having a beer or two before catching your taxi or bus to Pattaya, forget about it.

Never had a problem finding toilets in Swampy. The problem always seems to be signage to them, as they all seem to tucked away behind the back of the shops and restaurants!

Ah-ha toilets, my bete noire at Swampy! All the ones I have visited (....naturally I'm only speaking about the gents..) have only three cubicles which is not enough considering what uses folks put them to apart from the obvious.

It's not so bad in departures as one can wander down a quiet 'soi' on the airline lounges level (3/4?) in search of privacy but as for arrivals, for a sit-down job you may as well forget it and hang on for the hotel.

I totally agree. Now compare Swampi with Changi airport in Singapore. At the huge Changi airport you will find toilets with about 20 cubicles every 50-100 metres and they are the cleanest toilets anywhere.

A couple of years ago on our way back to Oz, we had a lengthy wait for our connecting flight. Mrs Gonzo went to visit one of their many toilets. When she didn't return after about an hour shortly before boarding time, I thought something was amiss. With my heart racing I approached the nearest information desk telling them about having lost my wife. They told me to sit down and calmly told me to relax and said nobody gets lost at Changi airport. About ten minutes later they returned with my tired-looking missus. She had fallen asleep on her toilet seat in one of the many super clean toilets.

Now that would never happen at Swampy in one of their few smelly cubicles.Someone would probably kick the door in in order to relieve themselves.

Haven't watched the last couple of episodes. Have the two black American sisters been on it since or was that just one episode?

:thumbup

Just the one episode, they don't seem to do any follow up beyond each episode (so far).

Not the greatest of shows, but when one is stuck here in back to back to back to back to back snowstorms...

All a bit same-same-but-different, focusing mostly on the weird and wonderful (the tourists I mean). Six episodes was about enough, right?

There'll be people feigning injury just to get to visit the clinic and see the doctor (Geng) who's a pop star, people pushing-in at immigration just to get Captain A to move them back and switching lines so that Captain Jack stamps their passport (ching, ching) - Flo will say it's the start of the holiday, let's have fun NOW!

Women, eh?

Swampy has a Muslim Prayer Room. I'm sure that in no way compensates for the perceived lack of toilet facilities.

Singapore is still my favorite but Inchon is now very a close 2nd.

It does if you use the Muslim Prayer Room the right way. :toilet_claw:

To free up a hand?

And what would I be supposed to do with the other hand? No, don't tell me. It would be better if you and grymsbyuk don't tell me what is acceptable behaviour in Grimsby and Manchester. :lsmile

Hi.

I don't know what is your problem with toilets? Seems to me that they are many of them in many places ??

BTW the good think with the new Bangkok Airport is that it is "a no-queue airport"

... and I can prove it :

"Queue" to register to Europe: 4 people in front of me...

"Queue" at Immigration to exit Thailand ;)

"Queue" at Immigration coming back Thailand. More officers than travellers ;)
