Hi,

Always thought $=40.

Twenty years ago, that would be about right. It could get there again, perhaps.

It touched 36 within the past couple of years.

I just read some articles about SE Asia and their various central banks. I guess some people are worried that a variety of factors could create a situation similar to that which occurred during the Asian financial crisis of 1998. A stronger dollar would be nice, I guess, at least for those people with dollars to exchange.

Baht has consistently weakened against the Dollar this last 2 months and long may it continue as its the all important ratio no matter whatever your base currency. A weakening move out to 35 would be very welcome for everyone unless you're paid in baht and transferring home

33.11 to the USD on an ATM withdrawal. And, yes, I will get the 220 baht back, but can only do that a couple of times a month.

I am expecting the £ to roll back off a little this morning after a slight recovery.

David Davis, previously the Brexit Secretary, has resigned, protesting the direction of May's methods, despite having signed off on them recently.. Resignation letter.

Steve Baker also resigned.

I just checked the baht and it sirs at 33.30 this morning. Methodical climb upwards over the past month or so.

Last 2 months its weakened out over 2 Baht now and still continues to degrade good news for everyone (unless paid in Baht)

yes, nice steady climb. As I stated before I am hoping for 34.1 or better by years end when I make my move to Thailand.

Just don't make too many plan based on a particular exchange rate. If the baht weakens, fine, but could you get by on 25 baht to the dollar?

Yes, ask that of someone who was planning on 55/£ and interest rates of about 5%!

Yes I could "get by" on 25 baht to the us dollar, but I do not desire to pinch my pennies and just get by, lol lol lol. For my own personal monetary situation the difference between 25 and 34 baht to the us dollar is tremendous.

Perhaps we can have a spell of more flat GBP value for a spell.

Pound has slightly improved today with some upbeat news over brexit, I wonder when it'll filter through to the rates.
